Wait until the paint is dry to the touch before removing the tape. Check the manufacturer's recommended drying times on the paint can.
Score!
Use a putty knife or razor blade to score along the edge of the tape. This prevents paint from being pulled up with the tape and prevents cracking along the paint line.
Tape!
Taking your time, lift up the painter's tape and peel it back on itself at a 45-degree angle. If adhesive sticks to the surface, try a 90-degree angle.

This tape worked great for making tight curves. It sticks well and doesn't lift the color underneath. I got great results!

I use this for painting faux brick. In my case, I don't really want a perfect edge and some edge bleeding is a good thing. So I deliberately let some paint and wash seep under the edges. Frog tape is too tight and makes too clean a line. This has enough grip to hold a clean edge if you are careful with your application technique and is soft enough to let you loosen the edges to soften your lines if that's your thing.

I like how this tape sticks to my ceramic pieces as I glaze. It keeps seepage at a minimum. However, I noticed that sometimes the glue separates from the tape as I try to remove it, leaving sticky blue streaks. I am able to rub it off with my thumb, but it is a nuisance; hence I gave it four stars, and not five. The tape is definitely cost effective, arrived within days of ordering, and there's a lot to last a long time.
