I have three Blue Sea fuse blocks that I use in my solar setup. They make a quality product that I would recommend to anyone.

I rely on Blue Sea for high quality, safely made DC power devices. I recently used this fuse block with an ANL 250A fuse to protect a new "Smart charging" alternator system. The fuse is inline with the output of my new "smart" alternator that is capable of 200A output to charge a bank of 4, 8D AGM batteries. The plastic cover is critical to prevent accidental contact with the immense power of the battery bank. The block is built with corrosion resistant materials. I have never seen any contact corrosion on any Blue Sea device in a marine environment. I have many Blue Sea high power DC circuit items and strongly recommend them.

Swapped out a “car audio” style fuse holder for this one so I could use terminal lugs on all the power wiring. I’ve used a few other Blue Sea products in the past and they really are the standard of electrical wiring and install excellence. High quality materials at reasonable prices.Typical Blue Sea build for this single fuse holder with quality hardware, rugged material and easy installation. Much better than other types of holders out there. The cover is a bit stiff so removing it can feel like you’ll break it but once you try to snap off the removable tabs for side-exit install you’ll see how much it takes to actually break the plastic.

My only complaint about this is I needed a tool to get the cover off since the clips are so strong. You could see this as a positive as well - that thing isn’t just going to fall off.

This is a pretty solid block, does not feel cheap at all and I hope I don't have to find out whether I needed it or not. This is installed in conjunction with a 2000W/4000W power inverter and 2AWG battery cables. When it comes to car electricity, all I can say is DO NOT opt for cheaper knock off fuses or fuse-blocks, they are made of lesser quality materials that either cant withstand the heat that electricity will or can generate, they either melt or don't "pop" when they are supposed to and you might look at a engine fire. This fuse-block together with a fuse from the same manufacturer might be more money, but it sure is cheaper than rewiring with a new set of cables and replacing the equipment that burned up.

I have one in the engine bay and one by my amplifier. Great fuse. I like the fact you can do a 90 off it very solid base and sturdy.

Blue sea fuse holders made my solar systems safer and acts like a disconnect point for removing power for working on. Got 2 of them for both lines. Becuse two are better then one. Also i tapped into my RV solar system 400 watts and plug them into my house 600 watts system. Thats 8 deep cycle batteries and a lot of amps to keep it check. Two in camper, 6 for house. I use Anderson 400 amp plus on disconnects. Just pull the plug on both ends and each are now separated and fused.

It’s a fuse holder… average, nothing special.

Worth the extra cost over the less expensive knockoff or generic fuse holders. Blue sea stuff is robust, nicely made. The insulating cover stays securely in place (previous had install bay fuse holders and the covers repeatedly fell off).

Having just opened the package it looks like a great, heavy duty product, but.....there is no fuse (see photo) included with the product as the ad picture shows. I guess I should have asked if one was included, but luckily I did order 'extra' fuses. It would be good to include 'Note: fuse not included' for people like me!

It's what you expect from a blue sea system. Sturdy build and made from good quality plastics. Currently have other fuse holders from the same company, love it.
