I was able to research and replace this to fix my fridge. Super easy to replace and saved me a bunch of money on a service call.

Easy to install! It took more time to take the food out of the freezer and put it back, than to do the actual motor replacement! My mom's refrigerator was making the most awful noises! Randomly throughout every day and night. It was driving me nuts!I orded this and swapped the fan motor out in no time at all. Now I can visit mom, and don't notice the fridge is there. It looked identical to the existing motor, and fit perfectly as the original. Runs quiet now. Seems to be good quality. The food stays cold, and I am no longer annoyed. Thank you! Worth every penny.

Perfect fit for HotPoint fridge model#HPS15BTHJRWW. Takes less than 15 minutes for the repair. The old fan motor sounded like a coffee grinder going off.

Perfect fit for the Hotpoint fridge I have.I live in an apartment and sadly I would have had a bunch of stuff spoil before this would have been fixed. They don't have parts on hand nor could they likely get them or a replacement fridge before that would have happened.Anyway, knew the motor was bad for a LONG time, probably a few years but it kept getting passed over. The other day it started really rattling and I took a look in case maybe it was a bearing needing oiled. It wasn't and the fan flopped around. Put it back together and figured for 15 bucks I may as well just do it myself and know it's not going to screw up in a week. Had a dishwasher replaced which took months after the problem was reported and then the guy did it wrong leaving a huge gap at the top which he semi filled with a piece of a pallet that had the corner sticking about a 1/2 inch at the front. He is gone but no one has been worthwhile and now there is no maintenance.Pulled the icemaker out, pulled 2 screws in the air deflector, two more screws at the top left and right and then two 1/4 inch hex heads closer to the fan. Removed the rear panel and then removed the ground wire and unplugged the motor removing two more phillips screws on the left and right side to pull the whole bracket out. Got a 5/16 socket and then split the bracket so I could access the fan, removed it and then put the new one in. The hardest part was getting the fan blades to slip off the shaft. Reassembled and it's working great so far. Honestly probably save me more money than I spent since the fan will move air better so the fridge should run shorter on each cycle.Overall this has been perfect and when I leave I can put the old one back if I really want to be spiteful.
