It is pretty much useless. I couldn't press it hard enough to make the eyelet close. It also did not come with any instructions at all. I tried it both ways (since it had no instructions) and one side will bend the eyelet and the other one will not close it at all. I tested it on paper. Not worth the $7.

I don't know why people didn't like this product. It does its job and does it decent. Granted, it's not the most high quality product but it's only a little over $6.00. I haven't had any problems.Yet, the eyelets are only eyelets. There are no washers. Meaning, a double sided work won't look that good. I had to purchase extra eyelets with washers.

I was sceptical about this unit because of all the mix reviews but I can honestly say that it gets the job done. You have to take your time to line it up correctly, add a little force with it and there you have it. I've been doing alot of DIY's lately, trying different things and this brass eyelet is exactly what I needed. I hope someone finds this review helpful.

The tool is adequate. However, the eyelets are not really brass. Yes, brass colored only.

Only thing I liked was the price. A very cheap product & hard to use. Applying firm pressure causes the handles to bend out: that causes the top/bottom to never line up. Eyelets fall out 90% of the time. Unless you are just putting eyelets in a handerkerchief I wouldn't waste the $: wasn't even worth returning.

This is fairly small. I wouldn’t use it on anything thicker than cloth. The pliers bent about the 4th or 5th time I tried to set one of the rivets. I was disappointed.
