Didn’t know exactly what to expect it is said to help reduce heat reduction which it definitely does but I was more so needing to just help insulate the door for the winter months. With the thickness of it has made a noticeable difference with help keeping the heat in the shop. Was very straight forward for instillation and the door was filthy as crap took a couple hours to clean but was well worth it the supplied tape worked very well and was very sticky overall I am very pleased with the product

Great product! We have an insulated workshop, but the big door is the standard roll up type and faces due west in Oklahoma. In the afternoon, the metal door gets glowing hot. I'm talking NASA hot! If you are within 20 feet of the door you can feel the heat coming off the hot metal. We installed the Bluetex door insulation in about 45 minutes. We put the double-sided tape 12 inches apart going up the door. For the big 12x12 door we used 14 strips of double-sided tape and still had some left over. Once you stick it on, it is NOT coming off without tearing the foil side off, so be sure you have it in position before taking off the paper backing on the double-sided tape. I saw one review where they said it fell down, I don't think they even used the double-sided tape? After installing, the benefit was instant, the door area felt much cooler. Now, if you stand right next to the roll up garage door, you barely feel any heat from the door. It's a HUGE improvement. In addition, the door is quieter now and you hear less noise from the traffic outside.

We bought this for our shop to go on a south facing roll up door that is scorching hot in the summer. We washed the door to make sure there wasn’t anything on the door to keep the included tape from sticking. We placed the tape on and then adhered the insulation to that. The adhesion was amazing! This isn’t going anywhere. If you follow the directions it is an easy DIY project that will definitely keep your shop cooler.i can already tell the difference. I am going to buy another set for my west facing door. A quality product for sure and you won’t be disappointed.

I’m happy, square up the end of the roll & tuck each section under the vertical nylon rail on each side. That keeps air from getting by the corrugated end spaces. Lots easier with a helper, though I have been doing it alone.

I installed this by my self but a helper would have been nice. The material is high quality and appears to be very durable. It has greatly reduced the heat absorption of my barn. Very clean appearance. My roll up doors actually operate more smoothly with the material installed.

Yes, this stuff is thin but it has to be so that you can roll up the door easily with the insulation installed. It doesn't offer as much R value as an insulated door, but it's also a lot cheaper than replacing a roll up door. We found it easy to install. The instructions were clear and the the included tape and knife meant that no other tools were necessary except perhaps a straight edge for cutting to length. The effect was immediate on a hot summer day. Before installation, standing next to our south facing door was unpleasant. After installation the only heat felt was upon touching the raised edges of the door through the material. Almost no heat radiating into the building. It will be interesting to see the affect on our A/C bill.

I cleaned the door with alcohol then applied the adhesive, it is currently swinging away from the door and not doing it's job. It made a big difference at first maybe try a different double sided tape.
