Update: disregard the part about bluetooth not connecting again after timing out: it's now reconnecting just fine.I've just gotten this set up and, so far, I'm quite pleased. If there's no update, then you may take it that I have remained pleased. For background: I've habitually used one or another automatic feeder for most of two decades. I used to travel a lot, and it was just so convenient I used it all the time. I don't travel much any more, and I still don't worry about having to feed my tank daily.I had no issues setting up the app or bluetooth connection, and programming was straightforward and intuitive. Which is good, given that the instructions kinda aren't.I suspect that the source of some of the reported connection issues is that when the feeder doesn't have an active bluetooth connection, it times out after a few minutes. Once it times out, it won't accept a connection until it's waked up again by either pushing the button, or connecting it to external power. This regrettable design choice reduces most of the wireless functions to bragware. Sure I can manually feed my fish from across the room ... after I get up, walk across the room, open the lid, and manually push the button. At that point I may as well just push the button a second time to start the feed cycle, and be done with it. I also don't see how I'm supposed to get empty feeder notices, since I'm just NOT going to keep my phone near it and connected all the time. The programming and the records of feeding times are great, but I don't see how the rest of it is of any real use.The other negatives I see are that the button is under the cover, as others have noted, and the mounting clamp is quite large, and configured in a way that makes it is limited use. Particularly, the screw is about twice as long as it needs to be. For my purposes, it can rest directly on my tank cover, so I don't much care about the clamp. Some may regard the tightness of the lid as a negative, but while it's annoying to open, it does stay on well, so I call it a wash. The positives include the sound: it makes almost none. At mere whispers, the spring flexing and the sweeper flaps skipping are by far the loudest part of the feeding cycle. Another plus is that the food dispenses consistently in the same, smallish spot each time. In my arrangement it isn't falling very far, so the micro wafers I feed don't immediately sink straight to the bottom, which is better for my purposes. A really big plus is that it does, indeed, work on wall AND battery power, so I needn't worry about power outages OR forgetting to change the battery. One thing I'll mention that I wondered about is that the inserts (that limit the amount of food) are made of all right angles. With access to a caliper, a 3D printer, and a bit of skill, making custom printed inserts would be very straightforward. I thought I might need to do that, but the smallest insert is about right for my tank. On, balance I'm quite please with this purchase, and think that anyone not bothered by the factors I've mentioned would be too.

I bought five of them they work wonderfully. The only downside is if you have air bubbles nearest popping the opening of the feeder gets wet and the food gets wet and then you have a problem

I really like this product because when I’m gone, I schedule it and it feeds automatically. It’s plugged in so the batteries are not needed and will never die. The app that you download is cool that’s where you schedule your feedings. Only thing is is when your phone connect to your feeder you’re at home, but when you leave your home, it can’t connect to your feeder. Just heads up.

I have two of these. 1 is WiFi driven. The other is Bluetooth with battery. The WiFi one works great for vacations where I can adjust feeding without being home. The Bluetooth is great for routine feedings without the worry if a power outage occurs.

I love about the feeder, but the something they might’ve overseen is the moisture/precipitation, when you place it over an open tank with regulated temperature, the bottom surface is always moist, and my feeder bin that holds food (the part that slides out), clogged with moist food, so I had like 1/3 of food dropping each time. When I came back from vacation, I had to clean the whole thing for it to resume feeding appropriately

This unit has been great. I've had it going for almost 2 months. I did purchase the add on to increase the capacity. That was a worthwhile purchase. The app connects and is easy to program. I haven't had any issues with food getting stuck. I've refilled it a few times since I started using it with no issues. With a huge koi tank, this doesn't let out a huge amount of food at one time. You can tell it to rerun the feeding cycle many times though, If you want. I currently have it set to do two rounds of feedings in the morning and another 2 in the afternoon and another 2 in the evening. It's really quiet. The fish seem happy with it! On larger tanks there is a lip that allows a glass top to be fitted on the tank, the clamp system is wide enough to accommodate the thickness of my huge tank but it does not get around the lip of plastic. This means that the unit is really just sitting on the top quarter inch of the tank frame. I was nervous it might fall since it can't be fully seated but so far, things seem ok.

Good only for pellets, not good for flakes.Doesn’t work on batteries so if you get a black out your fish will not be eatin.

After fully charged, once you disconnect the cable, doesn’t last longer then 5 hours. Battery seems very bad. Bought it a week ago
