I actually love how it works, and it does clean the air really well, we live in a dusty, very dusty farm town, it has made a huge difference in indoor air quality and humidity. but it is a pain to keep clean and filled up and it is really noisy, it foams up super easy. I like the LED lights which are nice, but if you don't clean it out often, then they get really nasty, smelly, slimy inside, and the little chemical additives don't last very long only about 4 hours or so. I got one in the bedroom and one in the living room. It is kind of noisy like a whispy fan and water running sound that is rhythmic and may be annoying to some but white noise to others. It does drown out my husband's snoring. or if you get used to it in the background, you won't notice it. I love how it lights up the room in the dark, The plastic construction is kind of cheap feeling but it's easy to cleanout. I hate that it runs out of water so fast, I fill it 2 times a day with distilled water and go through a gallon a day for both units. It doesn't change the temp of the room or anything like that it just cleans the air and may make it not so dry and dusty, helps with allergies on high pollen, and windy days.

I don't like that I don't SEE the water filtered show signs of dirtiness. I just see a pretty lamp. I ran it for days and no signs of dirty water.

I bought these thinking they would be almost like the rain mate because I have a 2 rain mate and love them but these are very very small and the reason I gave it a 1 star is because I print the return label and got it to the post office and it cost me $23.09 to mail it to California which I found out is very expensive so beware when buying this machine I did not even take it out of the box as soon as I saw the size I was disappointed.
