My automatic gearshift light would be out and id have to tap the console for it to light up (old school filament bulb with a loose filament im sure).Nowadays, LEDs are king and I had looked up a vid tutorial on how to remove the trim, and replaced the bulb with this LED and its much brighter and more illuminating, and will last more than the lifetime of me im sure while owning and driving my car. They "twist in easy" and this is just using the bulb without the included twist sockets as my wire already had one.highly recommend for replacement bulbs of an instrument panel or automatic gear shift.I wished i had blue but this white color will do since the Neutral or N is colored orange and blue would have a weird but probably cool effect shining thru it

I always test bulbs before using and l like to mark the polarity of the bulbs with a sharpie along the edge of the bulb. This help when you're trying to trouble shoot a non working bulb, even though you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right on the first shot, the markings helps to prevent installing a non working bulb back into the circuit board in the same orientation. I used the twist socket provided and I can't get any of the bulbs to work in either orientation. I had to use my original twist socket to get the bulbs to work. Turns out the contacts for the twist socket provided is slightly narrower than contacts on the dash circuit board. If your oem sockets are good, just use those and you should be fine.
