From the CLASSIC ARMY MEN COLLECTOR SERIES, BMC Toys brings back another American toy from yesteryear. This pack of 4 LCVP Higgins Boat type Landing Crafts are proudly manufactured in the United States. The set includes 2 tan and 2 olive-drab green vehicles. Each boat features a dual gun turret, ramp that opens and closes, and rolling wheels. The ramps, turrets and wheels may be fairly stiff to operate at first. Boats are approximately 1:72 scale, measures approximately 5.9 inches long, 2.1 inches wide, and 1.5 inches tall. Made from fairly stiff, polypropylene plastic with medium detail and some flashing.
These pieces were first produced in 1958 by LOUIS MARX AND COMPANY for their legendary Battleground Military Playsets and were included in numerous sets spanning many years. These are some of the most iconic plastic army men vehicles of all time despite their small scale This 2019 reissue is manufactured using the original PL1016 mold and also includes a new optional sticker sheet to dress up your amphibious assault.
This is a set of real American Made plastic toys, meant to be rolled around, knocked over, picked up and played with for many years to come. Packed in polybag bag with insert card and recommended for ages 5 and up.

I got these for a project about world war and they where just what I was looking for although they were a bit bigger than I expected. None the less they still worked out great for the project.

A little expensive for a few ounces of plastic but they’re decent and grandson is pretty happy now with commanding amphibious invasions in his sandbox.

Great recasts of original Marx Toys pieces! Very happy to have these available in a wide variety of colors! However, avoid lowering and locking the deployment ramp too much, as it can easily break from serious play. Fit for vintage Marx Battleground collections and light play scenarios!

These boat are good quality, but when I ordered them I thought they would be bigger. My son loves army men and was wanting to get boats for them. However they only fit many two soldiers at a time.

These are classic Marx landing craft re-issued from the original molds and were used in many of the vintage Marx military play sets including "Battleground" and "Navarone". These are well cast, and the movable parts like the wheels, ramp and gun turret are tight and nicely fitted. If you're a fan of the old vintage sets and looking to replace missing vehicles, these authentic re-casts might be just what you're looking for....
