Nice 50ohm cables that I needed to hook up several pieces of audio equipment to a 10mhz reference clock.

I have several MOOKEERF cable assemblies, and they have all been very reliable. These jumper cables are no exception. They connectors are reinforced and has withstood many connects and disconnections without any sign of fatigue. These are excellent cables and I expect them to last quite a while.

Please note, that cables like this come in both 50 ohms, and 75 ohms, so make sure you get the right cable for your uses. Usually things like television and video systems will typically use 75 ohm, so if that's what you're looking for, then this is the wrong cable. I think 50 ohm BNC cables are more common, but I might be biased because I'm a ham radio guy, and we use 50 ohms for nearly everything coax related. I got these very nice, good quality cables, for connecting radios to my test equipment, even though relatively few radios use BNC anymore (my first HT used BNC, but now everything uses SMA). The ends are good quality, and I can't find anything to complain about. I really like the red color, because it makes it stand out from all the black cables on my bench, making it easier to find the right cable.

Not suitable for applications where the cable is flex'd.It has a solid center conductor...should be stranded.(Most RG8X has standed center conductor.)

I use a LOT of different 'patch' cables in my RF-related hobbies, and I'm always on the lookout for high-quality cables that don't break my pocketbook. These fit that requirement well. The ends of each cable are crimped, then have about 2" of adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing applied. This gives a very effective strain-relief, ensuring the cable should give me long service even in heavy use. The BNC connectors are what I would consider as 'average' quality... nothing special. The cable itself has a bright red jacket, making it very visible. I like this. I could find no marking, however, to confirm the specs match what is claimed in the product description. It is the correct diameter for a typical RG-8X cable, so I suspect it's as described.Overall, I'm VERY happy with the quality of these cables.

There's not really a lot to say about this cable, and that's a good thing. It's exactly what it claims to be.It meets spec for RG-8x cable according to my NanoVNA, and the connectors are attached nicely with good heat shrink as a strain relief.I like the red color as it can be helpful to make it stand out if using it in a temporary deployment or if you need it to be differentiated from other cables. Its also just different than plain black cable. It does seem a bit stiffer than some other RG-8x cables I've used, but I don't know if that is due to the old age of the others or if this is stiffer than most. Either way, it has not been a problem for me at all.

Moorkeerf in general makes good cables. However, I'm a little confused about this one. RG8X should always have a stranded core, but the item description says it is "pure copper", which maybe implies a solid core? It also seems very stiff and holds its shape well, implying a solid core. The reason you'd care is a stranded cable is more flexible and more suited for frequent bending like in a lab environment. The cable itself has no markings on it, and as observed by another reviewer the zip ties used to hold it for shipping place dimples in the cable, potentially crimping the shield. The BNC connectors work well and have a nice shrink-wrap protection. The outer diameter of the main cable is 0.242", exactly what you'd expect for RG8X. Using a professional VNA the cable appears to perform well. Using the 3 foot cable, the insertion loss at 1 GHz is only about 0.2 dB and at 3 GHz is only about 1 dB, better than the RG8X spec. All in all this seems like a fine cable for the price, certainly good enough for any likely hobby use.

Received item in fair condition - sipping not all that fast, but a long distance from California,Very disappointing, I missed the part where seller used a solid core conductor, solid core conductor coax is for permanent installations, not for use with test equipment like function generators or oscilloscopes that constantly have to be moved around, all Techs know this,Also not the best thing to do putting tight wraps on signal cable, that only creates reflections at various frequencies,I wont be testing it's performance since it's not even made correctly for what it was intended,I would send these back so I don't have to pay tax on this item, unfortunately not an option with Vine program,Would not recommend this item unless you plain on never moving around your test equipment,Wasn't worth the long wait,Recommendations to seller, us this cable instead, maybe not pretty as your red cable, but at least its the correct 50Ω coax to be using for this application,Superbat RG58 50Ω Coax Cable - I've used it and it's made correctly!
