Ujoint press is high quality, use a tight fitting 1/2†socket 6 point and you won’t have any problems. Popped out the factory ujoints on my 1990 F250 4x4 fairly easily ( which was shocking since they were rusted and seized in place) i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a easy fix to stubborn ujoints.

Was pulling ujoint on jeep dana 44 front axle shaft. It pushed one cap out but snapped off the rod end on the second one. Was not using impact just 3/8 ratchet

The 1/2" hex drive is undersize, (.485".) Using a 12-point wrench will easily round-off the corners. Critical to use a 6-point, deep well socket with lubricant on the threads.

This is a great tool to have if your removing u joints it makes temoving the joint safe and quick. Becareful not to over press with high torque, If you over with high torque impact the casting will break, although it takes a lot of torque. If the ujoits are factor u joints and sealed with a plastic internal ring they will require heat before removal

Don't use a regular socket or it will round off the end of the part.
