It seems pretty rugged, however it was delivered with no handle. Luckily a handle that came off of one I got from HD was able to fit on it so I didn’t bother dealing with a report

Hard to see, but the attachment point on the hawk head is not threaded, so the threads on the wooden handle cannot engage and the head does not attach to the handle. Also, the edges of the hawk are sharp/unfinished, which I did expect at this price point. But I was hoping for a tool with bare-bones functionality for my project.

I just received the replacement for my original Hawk, which, you guessed it, came without a handle. The replacement arrived today. Guess what? That's right, NO HANDLE again! This item is completely useless without a handle. The order puller is most likely not going to know what this item is and that it should have a handle, so they get a pass. Why aren't the two parts to this item together inside of a plastic bag, making it impossible to ship only one part of the product? A simple solution to what should be a non-problem, the manufacture get no pass.I kept waiting for this product to be back in stock after the two incomplete orders I was sent. Then, for a while, there was a long waiting period for the order of this product to be filled, so I waited more. Now, it appears to be a prime item. Third time is a charm, I guess. After waiting and waiting, I was finally able to order one with a reasonable shipping window. It arrived with all parts included in a plastic bag as suggested above. Yes! Quality is reasonable, finishing could be better, it will wear with a little use and work well. Upgrading to three stars.

Overall product is poorly made compare to other brands. If you looking by price than is OK but if you're looking for good quality product which make you happy while using it than buy something else than this.

I have bought several of these hawks downside is the rivets start coming through after only a small amount of use. They are still useable but when you grab the mud with the trowel you feel it hit a rivet or two.

This hawk was so sharp around the edges it would cut you, and the ridges on the top of it were raised and also rough enough to cut you if you ran your hand over the surface.
