Used this to diagnose 2005 F250 6.0Ok, firstly I have to say that the screen was rubbish and cracked as soon as I tried to put it on the IPR valve, but we all know to use only Ford kits for that!BUT the IPR valve socket and test ports were PERFECT. Socket was strong enough to use a breaker bar to persuade the IPR valve to come loose after 20 years! The air connections screwed in perfectly and did not leak (use Teflon tape, obviously)Best way to use it?Using the IPR adaptor I put 107psi air pressure in the system (monitored from the ICP sensor via code reader) and shut off the supply. After 30 minutes it was at 105psi so no leaks on rails or injectors. If you hear hissing then it’s rail, standpipes or injectors usually. Listen at oil filler and crankcase vent to determine which side. Remove that valve cover and use air again to pinpoint the leak(s)If it’s good, replace the IPR valve and use the ICP adaptor to feed air. Command the IPR valve to close (or use a pigtail) and the hissing should stop. Note, do NOT close the IPR valve for more than 30 seconds or you may damage it. If it’s still hissing, the valve is faulty. If it stops, undo the top of the oil filter and listen for bubbles. If there’s bubbles, it’s most likely a problem with the HPOPFound my fault pretty quickly and this kit has paid for itself ten times over, and then some, straight out of the boxHighly recommended!

Unfortunately, I've had to use the socket and the air fitting several times. They work great and have held up to my frequent use. Better price than other companies and, it's just a socket and air fitting, no need to go with an expensive name brand. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to attach the air hose once you have the fitting installed. But then again, what isn't difficult about working on these engines?!

There were several negative comments talking about the odd threads used on the IPR test fitting. I needed the part so I placed my order and waited with my tap to correct the odd threads. When I received the 3 piece kit I inspected the parts and everything was fine... the threads are correct. Then it hit me... The automotive industry does not use pipe threads. That's why you can't find this adapter at your local hardware store. The threads in the IPR test fitting are the same as the threads used on the ICP. In other words use the ICP fitting as an adapter for the IPR fitting. The threads on the ICP fitting will fit your air accessories. However, do not over tighten the two fittings they are both soft metals that will strip. Use teflon tape and just tighten enough to slightly compress the o-ring. I'll post a pick soon.

Well for the price it’s hard to beat, nothing top quality but gets the job done and won’t break the bank like the truck itself will do. Mine was missing the IPR screen and seals, ended up ordering them by themselves. CLEAN PARTS BEFORE USE my IPR air adaptor had metal shavings from drilling/machining inside and would most definitely cause you even bigger issues then you already have putting that into the HPOP.

Socket fit nice and snug and an air hose threaded right into the IPR air tester. Really nice it comes with O-rings and a replacement screen
