Santa brought me a slightly-used Eastman E10-00SS guitar for Christmas. I love the guitar, but the saddle it came with was kind of primitive. It was made of a bone-like substance but had no B-string compensation. No slam against Eastman - I believe this is a Vintage thing as I also see it on my Martin OM18V. Unfortunately, it was also very high and made it impossible to get the low action I prefer. I tried sanding it down but the results were not satisfactory as it no longer completely filled the saddle slot and the action appeared unchanged (As you can tell by now my luthier skills are just advanced enough to get me into trouble. :) ).So I looked for a replacement and found this product. It arrived quickly and I immediately saw that it was not as wide as the original. Feeling that I had nothing to lose, I tried installing it and found that it was a tad too thick. A quick sanding of one of the sides and it snapped right into place. Despite the fact that it was narrower than the stock saddle it looked fine to me (blues guitars should look modified, right?). More importantly, it sounds great and the B-string now intonates better. Perhaps by sheer luck it also turned out to be the perfect height to achieve 4/64ths at the 12th fret with no modification. I was pleased. So, if you can get past the narrow width this saddle works great with Eastman E10 guitars. Recommended.

I bought an Eastman AC822CE used and the previous owner sanded the low E string to 2/32, so I purchase this 7 mm replacement height saddle. The saddle was too thick to fit the bridge and require sanding to fit correctly. Once fitted and strung it measured 3/32 for both E strings. I did quite a bit of sanding and restringing to finally get the high E to 2/32. The guitar sounds amazing.

The product appears to be okay. The it was too wide to fit in my saddle. I am not an expert but tried to follow the directions for sanding down to size and must have gone too far because it does not fit well. Nothing necessarily against the seller but I spent the extra money so I did not have to sand anything otherwise I would have gone with a less expensive option.

Took a minimal bit of sanding to reduce thickness but was then a better fit that the original saddle. Has improved intonation and tone. Recommended

Great replacement for Eastman. Very little sanding required.
