FOUR STEPS TO SET THE PASSWORD
Step One
Keep dials at original password "000" and turn the knob to "unlock" position to open the cash box.
Step Two - Important
Use two fingers(thumb and forefinger) to move the lock slot from A to side, then up to B. Don't move it from A to B directly, it will be stuck.
Step Three
Set your password, e.g. "111", make sure all numbers are in the center of the dials.
Step Four
Be sure to move the slot back to A. Your password is "111'.

I purchased this safe because I wanted something that was nice and hidden. If you put it in a book shelf with a bunch of other books you can't even tell that it is a safe. It is great quality and easy to use. The size of it is not very big so you should definitely be aware of that if you are purchasing this safe. It's very secure and it's just a 3 digit code that you can set to lock it and open it. I think this is a great product for the price!

This safe is awesome! It looks great and you won't even be able to tell it's not a real book. Here are...My Pros:#1) It looks real. Just as thick as a regular dictionary.#2) It fits in good with other books on ANY bookshelf.#3) The password is changeable, (Located inside the book cover.)#4) It is pretty spacious!My Cons:#1) It has plastic pages, easy to catch if the safe is, for example, lying on a table. (But if it's packed in to a bookshelf, there's NO WAY you can see those.)#2) The books cover may seem a bit fancy to the touch. I sanded my cover to make it look authentic.Honestly, I love this safe. You could even probably hide a (small) handgun in it! And also, if you didn't read the description, please note: THIS SAFE IS IN NO WAY FIREPROOF. But the lock is also very strong and cannot be cracked easily. I love It!!!ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Nice little safe. I have a little cash and debit cards in mine. It isn't fire proof, water proof, can easily walk way and looks to me like also easy to break into. But put it in a book shelf, it looks like a book, no one is going to look at your book shelf for cash, cards, etc. You can probably buy some fire/water proof bags, but I don't know if they would fit in this safe. Allows you to put some items in a safe place and secure them while hiding in plain site. Again, not really big, water, fire or burglary proof, but this safe along with a more secure safe works for me to keep a little cash on hand. Overall its a nice little product at a good price.

This little book safe is just the right size to blend in on any bookshelf. The cover is very convincing, and although the page edges are slightly less convincing, they work for a casual inspection. If the book were sitting on a desk with the page-edges facing someone, they might draw scrutiny, as they don't appear evenly cut. The safe itself could be pried open with a pry-bar and some effort, but for the purposes of keeping a curious child out of it, it's perfect. If you want to hide something from a casual inspection of a room or from accidental discovery by a child, this is the way to go. If you are a concealed carrier and just need a place to stash your pistol overnight where a child won't find it while you sleep, this is fine. If you need to keep a more diligent burglar from finding it when tossing your house, or if you're leaving it behind for an extended period, you need to put it in an actual safe, mounted to the floor. But for hiding it in plain sight while you sleep? Perfect. I recommend that one cuts some foam to custom fit any object one stores in it, to keep the weight from shifting around and giving itself away.

I truly love this purchase. I got one for my mother and my grandmother as well. I love that. It's very discreet and you can place it anywhere and put anything in it. I have mine placed in the living room in my bookstand so if anything was to ever happen, I can just grab it and go. It's not super big, but it holds a lot. It is deep. I put things like my passport, Social Security card, birth certificate, and other important documents, as well as spare keys and old collectable bills.

Pages look as false as they are vault is metal 3 digit lock sequence cover and spine look real and good in general if I had to put the quality of the vault to a test it cant be open by brute force maybe a heavy duty crowbar but not a normal one not just an normal hammer either. Easy to lock Step by step manual on how to change code the original code will be 000 incase you lose the paper I suggest you keep the paper in the book when you lock it was an overall great product well that's all and don't say I'm a bot it would be like rick explaining that Beth being a clone doesn't matter.

Whenever go through my pockets at night and find a few dollars I have a habit of stashing it somewhere so that it will be handy when I need some quick cash. Have children and want to keep them away from certain things? Jewelry? Medication? Etc? Or want to hide something? This probably works.To use it for hiding something, I would take an old dust jacket from a real book to make it look more legit. It also works for young kids... they probably can't pry the thing open.For the cons... The dials are plastic and the locking mechanism is pretty weak. You need to get the stuff in there just right, or it won't close. It isn't keeping any grown up or even a determined teenager out of the box.I'm using it for young children so it works for me, but be aware of these drawbacks for other uses.
