The bracket is not painted as shown in the picture. It is bare metal. There were no instructions with it, but it was fairly simple to figure out how to install it. The hardware supplied was good quality and I am satisfied overall with the product. It's nothing fancy, but at the price, a good value. The stock brackets supplied by GM on my old 1969 Chevy small block engine were nearly impossible to adjust properly. If you have fitment issues with this one, it is fairly easy to shim it to the position necessary using flat washers. You may also have to replace your drive belt with one that is slightly longer.

Used the bracket in a 6.2 diesel -> 5.7 swap. Used existing pump from 6.2 to maintain hyrdroboost system.Product was packaged well and of good quality, though lacked any written direction/illustrations to assist with intended orientation for mounting.Once mounted pump was sturdy and offered no vibration in use.Removed 1 star due to one of the fasteners having a few marred threads, and lack of any documentation.

I would not recommend this bracket; it allows the power steering pump to twist slightly under load and causes premature belt wear since the v-belt is not riding evenly in the track.

I did not use this bracket, it looks well constructed and easy enough to install, so I kept it to use in the future or give to a buddy later on down the road.
