These “borosilicate glass†(BG) water bottles (set of two) are tall and narrow. The product page says there’s a “protective sleeve to keep [the bottle] safe and secure†during travel. I didn’t receive a sleeve, but perhaps the reference is to the frost-like finish glazed onto the bottles which does not seem removable. The product page also says the lid “transforms into a drinking cupâ€, but the lid is shallow and holds about 3 tablespoons of water. The glass seems “crispy†when tapped – like it would be prone to breaking. The clear lid and rubbery pastel carrying strap are usable and have a cute factor to them.That wasn’t a good start but I wanted to find out more about BG, especially as I’ve found that water from a glass water bottle tastes a lot better than from a stainless-steel water bottle. Some quick research about BG just fyi (and I’m no expert so please do your own research if interested as this may not be correct): Most glass water bottles are made from soda-lime glass as it’s less costly to produce than BG; as compared to soda-lime glass, BG is less susceptible to cracking or breaking when exposed to sudden temperature changes, BG is more scratch-resistant and less prone to breakage, BG is more resistant to chemical reactions reducing the risk of leaching, and BG’s low solubility helps maintain the purity and taste of the water. I’m favorably impressed by use of BG for a water bottle, and water from these BG bottles tastes very pure.The product page says the BG bottle is heat resistant, safe for hot tea of coffee. I poured hot water into this BG bottle, and it made the bottle too hot to hold without a mit. I’d be more comfortable if this bottle had a rubber sleeve to protect it. Even so, at home and in situations when the BG bottle is unlikely to be jarred around, it seems like the healthier choice and I’d prefer drinking out of it rather than a stainless-steel water bottle.

Glass is a bit thin and they do NOT have the advertized protective silicone sleeves. They are coated with a thin, frosted finish that scratches and wears off immediately.

These bottles are tall and slender. The lids screw on which is great. I drink about a 6 pack of Diet Pepsi each day. Most of the time I drink it from the bottle because I can put the cap back on between sips. I’m home full time. When I’m not busy with other thing I sit in a reclining chair in my room to watch T.v. I have a folding table set up next to it and I’ve accidentally bumped into the table and knocked my soda over so many times. Being able to put the cap on has saved me from many spills. These bottles with their screw on lid just make sense for a klutzy person like myself.They’re very pretty as well and come with silicone strap’s attached to the lid. These would make a great gift for someone. One is pink and the other is purple. The top half is a lighter shade than the bottom half. There is q name that describes the color change but I can’t think of it. The Hydrate & Conquer logo is cute. I can easily see these being a favorite of mine for a long time. The glass is not really thick but it’s not to thin either.I’ve seen a few glasses recently that were so thin I’d be afraid to add ice. I’m not sure if they can go in the dishwasher but I will hand wash them to be safe.

These are nice glass water bottles that can hold a little over two cups, which is not a whole lot. But they are nice to have for short or long trips. I always like to have water available in my car in case I get really thirsty or happen to cough badly and need water right away. Since it's not good to have plastic bottles of water in your car due to the chemicals leaking from the plastic into the water, I opted to use glass water bottles instead. I have been reusing my Voss water bottle over and over again. But recently when I went to wash it, I misplaced the cap (I may have accidentally tossed it). So I opted to get order these borosilicate water bottles to replace it. The Voss bottle is quick thick. These borosilicate water bottles are nowhere near as thick as Voss. They are on the thinner side, but I wouldn't classify them as super fragile.I do like the colors, the frosted surface, and text on the bottles. The cap comes with an attached silicone strap that acts as a hook. I would not be comfortable hanging the water bottle on my backpack or anywhere because if the lid is not tight and became loose, the bottle can drop and break. It's a nice thought, but I just wouldn't be comfortable hanging this water bottle anywhere. I would have liked the bottles to be thicker and a little bigger, but all in all, they are nice, non-toxic bottles.

WASH THESE BEFORE DRINKING OUT OF THEM! When I received these, they were pretty dusty and REALLY needed a good cleaning, but once it was done, these worked great! They are slim enough to fit on the side of my satchel and stay there while I'm in class and may need a little drink from time to time. The decoration on the bottle is very nice, somewhat motivating. These bottles are pretty solid, but I wouldn't toss them around, they are glass and they don't have an outer barrier to protect from accidental hits. I have used one in my office and one while out and about and have loved them. They fit really well in the cup holders in my car and this is a plus in my opinion. The only issue I might have with these bottles is the band in the cap. It stops liquids from leaking now, but I don't know how long it will hold out for. As for now, these are a great addition to my home and help me with keeping up with my water intake.
