This product arrived in a Bosch box and inside a plastic bag to further protect during shipping. They fit perfectly in a 2003 BMW 530i as advised. They have performed as advertised and have made for a very smooth engine performance. Replacement was easy and even motivated me to replace spark plugs as well.

This is the BOSCH OE part. You can get it stamped with VW AG for around $123 from VW for the same part.My vehicle had power loss and would stall out with AC on. My Jetta is a manual transmission so I can compensate quite a bit. My spark plugs and spark plug cables had been changed already and were fine. I had focused on my vacuum stuff because my vehicle drove 200,000 miles without issues. My air intake pipe (VW original $225 list price for $164 at vw parts center dot net) with the fancy fused on rotary valve which is where a PCV valve normally would be, had a cracked nipple where the breezer tube attaches. So I replaced that, the PCV tubing (VW $58 ... no need to replace unless cracked, mine was actually fine BUT 200k miles so i did anyway (from engine refill spout to air intake tube; the section to the air intake on engine is actually just an integrated plug), the purge control valve (Bosch $20), MAP sensor (Bosch $20) and the crankshaft position sensor (Bosch $40) simply because the timing was off and the engine was randomly misfiring on all four cylinders (P0300) but mostly on 1&4 (P0301 and P0304). After replacing the vacuum stuff the car was running smooth when not idling but the EPC light was still on. Since the spark plugs were good and the wires were new and all cylinders were affected, I looked at the ignition coil. One could see that 1&4 had issues, and the electronic module and the coil for 1&4 had not their full performance. Replacing this module the EPC went off. I reset the check engine light and the car is back to its responsive self with full power. AC of course no problem anymore and idle is very steady. Like new.Hope this helps for those who may have a similar failure. Thanks Amazon for having so many OE parts from Bosch at a fair price!!!.

My 07 VW Eos started shuddering when accelerating. It started happening a lot of time to the point I was wondering if I'm going to damage my engine.I looked at some forums and a couple of youtube videos and the most likely cause could be a bad ignition coil. The bluetooth ODB reader + Torque app told me the misfire was on cylinder 1. I swapped the original ignition coils between 1 and 2 and the misfire moved to 2. That confirmed it was the coil that was at fault.I ordered this one from Amazon and replaced just the #1 slot and it's been working very well since then. I kept others so I could replace it if it happened again on a different cylinder. I've attached pics of the new coil and the original coil. My car is at around 68K miles, I bought it used in 2011 and have had it for 13 years. The Bosch 0221604115 OE Ignition Coil worked very well and my car drives really nice. I'm eventually going to replace the other 3 along with the spark plugs later. If you have a VW that's showing a misfire, this is definitely worth a try. It's an easy replacement that most people can do.

Calidad original , muy buen producto a casi mitad de precio del que se encuentra en refaccionarias locales, lo usé en Peugeot 207 , pero es compatible con muchos otros , solo revisar número de parte en el lateral de la bobina.

created a RARE coil situation with one cylinder by running my car (own procrastination, so my fault) for many months with some intake-side vacuum leaks. This causes the engine an enormous amount of extra work in trying HARD to figure out the proper fuel mixture and ignition timing b/c of the mystery air source (b/c the MAF is providing entirely different data)... so misfires and added stress to the ignition system for over half a year finally resulted in 1 coil no longer working correctly (as I discovered after fixing ALL my vacuum leaks) ... and a code scan revealed the final issue I needed to correct.
