Works very well. Dust pick up is pretty good for what it is. Definitely not 100%. But I didn't expect that. Get the shop vac attachment for the best dust pick up. And don't even bother with the filtered collector it comes with unless you're sanding toothpicks. It fills up very fast. You'll be emptying it more than you'll be sanding. But then you already knew sanding causes a lot of dust and didn't expect that tiny thing to hold a lot did you? If you have small hands it will probably get hard to hold if you're sanding a lot and holding it sideways. I think that is typical for these types of sanders though. Very comfortable sanding horizontal surfaces. Highly recommend. Goid deal for the price.

This is a nice little palm sander. It is light and easy to use with a small sanding stroke. When connected to a festool dust extractor (which the hose ends fit just right) the dust extraction is pretty good. You must use the included "hole punch" if you desire dust extraction. Dust extraction is not in the Festool category, but it is must less expensive than Festool. The handle is nice and conforms to the hand well. The switch is secure and feels like it should last. One thing to be aware of is that this model does not have variable speed control.

This is a very useful little sander. Perfect size. Like that it plugs in.

My Makita palm sander I bought over thirty years. finally died I loved this tool, but its one down side was It had no dust collection system other than a cloth bag that was useless. So when I went looking for its replacement, I wan't something with a decent dust collection system. After reading through tyhe reviews of all the major brands, I had concluded that still none of them had a decent dust collection system. I decided on the Bosch Palm sander simply because I have a larger Boscg sander with pretty good dust collection, and hoped for the best with the Palm sander. When ther sander arrived and I gave it a test run I was delighted with the dust control it provided. I immediately got rid of the dust filter than came with the sander and hooked it up to a dewalt shop vac I have, and the results were pretty amazing. The dust control was better than anything I expected. Nearly any Palm sander nowdays will provide decent sanding, but if you have a good shop vac and can connect it to this Bosch sander (you need an adaptor to get from the sander to the shop vac hose) then you can sand away with little or no dust. P.S. I have been woodworking for 40 years, and I rarely write reviews. But when I find a tool that might benefit other woodworkers, I try to pass on my observations

I bought this sander to sand some "bowls" that I had routed out of a cheese board that were too small for my 5" random orbital. For the price, I don't think you can beat this little sander. It feels pretty nice in your hand and you can use it for hours at a time without it causing too much stress on your hands. The dust collection is probably the best that I've seen for a sander at this price. It's not Festool level by any means (although a Festool hose will fit it well), but if you pair this sander with a downdraft table, you're going to be in pretty good shape. I'd still use my random orbital sander for most things, but this is a nice addition to my shop.

This sander works great. Can't say if its better than a DeWalt or Makita, but it works and is easy to use and keeps grip of the sandpaper well. What is really "like magic" is how well it collects the sanding dust. No vacuum hose source is needed - it just gets blown into the canister in back without a vacuum. My 14 yo daughter was using this (that's how easy it is to use!!) while I was hand sanding, and the dust difference was like night and day. Need to empty the dust canister frequently more so for coarse grit sandpaper, but that takes all of 1 min to do. Well worth the almost non-existent dust and not having to run a vacuum cleaner.

Excellent quarter sheet sander. Very smooth and decently quiet. I just completed a massive kitchen remodel and this was very helpful in getting sanding done on the styles & rails on cabinet doors. Top quality construction that should last for years.

I love this sander. I like the power of this sander and how easy it is to controll and it's very easy on your hand. Doesn't cause your hand to go numb as some sanders. The filter works great as well and you can't beat the price.Thank you guys. 😊

This sander is very handy for finishing as it uses standard sheets of sandpaper that the included press pops the dust collection holes in. I just cut up a stack of paper in advance of the grits I need and when changing over, pop in the dust collection holes and right back at it.Vibration feed back to the user is good and stays comfortable to use for an extended period. Like my other Bosch tools, I look forward to using them as they allow me to build and finish far above what I was able to do prior. I think the fact they work so well makes you eager to do the best work you can as you do not get worn down my the frustration some other brands deliver.I do wear hearing protection although it is not overly loud, it does buzz along with enough noise that hearing protection is not a bad idea.As typical with all the other Bosch tools I own, this is a very nicely built quality tool that I expect will last me a long time.

What a little beauty. I use to buy only Makita until they went down in quality and started burning out. Very happy with all my Bosch tools. This is my second Bosch sander. A big reason I chose this sander is because it takes quarter sheets which means much cheaper and a much wider range of grits. Secondly as the pictures show this sander has a cast, machined aluminum base plate, a sign of quality. Other brands in this and higher price points have either all plastic or plastic with a thin sheet of aluminum for a base. I don't know how they do it but the vibration isolation really does work. Nice design, feels good in the hand. I also like the hole punch accessory. Now if people will only stop stealing my tools. :)
