Most other wood drill bits are pretty much destroyed after you hit a nail. If you are wiring or plumbing a house these can take many nail hits and keep on going and with the screw tip it pulls itself through the wood. I am a repeat custom these bits the work great.

I don't know exactly what I expected but this set is pretty good. There are 3 popular sizes and a fair price. I knew I had nails in my bore path because I ruined 2 bits finding that out. This was a solution to a known problem and it performed as advertised. I can't speak to long term durability but the bit I used is sharp and functional after finishing my task.

Does indeed cut thru wood with nails. Tend to bind depending on the angle that strikes the nail or other impediment in the wood. Go slow until you get used to how these function. Diablo brand worked better for me.

I am a framing contractor and we use these to drill out our base plates to bolt to the embedded j bolts in the foundation and these last a long time and can take the abuse not many other paddle bits can hold up to and for the price you can't beat em totally recommend these

Cuts through ordinary nails as claimed. You need a solid centre to start and pull the it through.
