I did a lot of research on this speaker before purchasing and couldn’t find any reviews on it being used in a gym setting, so this is for all my gym’ers:It’s great for a large gym setting…think your typical CrossFit box size. I have the base set at 50% and didn’t even hit 50% on my phone before not being able to hear anything over the sound. It has EXCELLENT clarity. I used my phone with AV cable to USB-C and the setup couldn’t have been easier: literally just plug it in and play. The bass is awesome. The 12 inch subwoofer placement really makes the sound whole. I do think I’ll end up buying the bass model, also, but that’s no reflection on this model. Bose really knocked it out of the park, I mean it’s really beautiful, clear sound, and the projection is amazing. I played around with the snapping array flat/down/up and it’s very easy, it truly does change not just the projection of the sound but the sound itself. I think if you have a pretty small garage gym in a neighborhood with houses on top of each other this speaker might be a bit too much to handle since you probably won’t be able to blast it.Very mobile, I didn’t bother to pull out a tape measure on the dimensions, but it’s pretty compact. Not some huge, cumbersome thing. The only other thing I wanted to add was to the seller — first of all the warranty IS valid, I know someone else wrote theirs wasn’t, mine was. They also delivered it very, very quickly. I think I had it under 36 hours after ordering it.Get this speaker, it’s worth every penny!

I'm in a cover band and we play for venues up to 300. We run vocals, keyboard, and guitars into the T1 Tone Match mixer first then feed a line out to the F1. The sound is clear and powerful. The 12" woofer can produce impressive low bass extension. Vocals are articulate and sounds very natural.Experiment with the position of the top and bottom array panels. The overall sound changes dramatically depending on the pattern selected. Straight forward firing produces the most neutral flat sound. Only bending the top produces the most high end. Only bending the bottom yields a little more mid and slightly increased high end. Bending both top and bottom produces the best overall sound balance in my opinion. I keep mine in this configuration 100% of the time. Highly recommended playing around with the different configuration during sound check. The only warning is this speaker has a propensity for feedback. Recommend positioning the F1 in front of the band and use monitors. We tried placing the F1 behind us similar to an L1 setup and feedback was a major concern. The microphones would constantly screamed at higher volume. We achieved an ideal setup by using both the L1 behind us to act as a monitor and the F1 in front. Highly recommended!

Keep it short and simpleThis speaker is beyond what I expected!I thought I would need a subwoofer but it held its own, only downside is I need another one, it was overloading my S1 Pro (poor guy started flashing red)Used it at a school dance, teachers complained it was too loud LOLGot rave reviews of the sound qualityRecommend this, just get it

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this speaker. The sound is clear and well balanced at any level. I've used it paired with the F1 subwoofer and they really are a compliment to one another. I've had a few occasions when I only used the F1 812 and it still had enough base to turn heads, but not over powering. My only complaint is that it seems the sound is flatter when in full forward configuration. When in J or C configurations, the highs and lows are enhanced while the mids are lowered. Good thing when it's paired with the sub and on the supplied stand, it's the perfect height when in the floor that you can keep it in the full forward configuration.

if i could find one word to describe these, it'd be "sexy"... as a professional in the Live Show Industry (sound and lighting), these things have really opened my eyes to the world of Bose. The L1 Model II series weren't as good as they were talked up to be and when I heard about the F1 series, I was skeptical. Ended up taking the risk to recommend these for a high school auditorium and they work PERFECT! Mounted them on the walls and adjusted vertical angles to give full coverage.. Combined with 4 (EV 1000w Subs), It's definitely concert ready!

I prefer this speaker because It has 2 audio inputs compare with Bose L1 model 2. Stand alone mode is good and no noise for both input. However, The right input and only this input: RCA or 1/4 always makes really loud humming when connecting power supply separate from my Full sound system: I must use a long power cord (50ft) to directly connect to my Furman power distribution unit Which is connecting all my other audio equipment, And that humming noise is long gone. Minus a star for that.Other than that, sound good and very loud: Try to use the RCA input direct from Samsung TV output: Be careful with the volume knob: IT LOUD....
