We enjoy our Bose Smart Dolby Atmos Soundbar, Bluetooth Sound. The sound/range is great. It make watching TV/movies much more enjoyable, however sometimes we loose the connection from the Sound Bar to the TV and it has to be reset, by unplugging the power and plugging it back in. Otherwise the system works great. A good value for the money and we are very happy with it and can't wait to complete our sound system with the other accessories for our Surround Sound Great Room/Theater.

The smart sound bar came late. Most likely because it was shipped by USPS and a holiday added a day or two. I tried working with the device with Bluetooth. I could not get it to work. I tried for quite a while and then looked at the box that the device came in. It was shipped from the Returns and Replacements Department of Bose. I then considered that the remote control might have a bad battery - bingo it was almost entirely discharged - but why if this was a new unit? After all I could have ordered a returned unit and save about $150, but I opted for a brand-new unit.I suspect that a reverse logistics played a role in my getting a device that looked new but wasn't.So, I have working unit, and it sounds great, but I suspect that it was not new. If that is true, then I lost $150. If it actually was new, then my apologies. If Amazon or Bose could simply tell me then all is good. And maybe make it right? I am not saying that anybody intentionally did this.UPDATE: I contacted customer support and and satusfird.

first of all I had to get on the phone with Bose tech support to get it setup. It took, no lie, 4 hours on the phone and so much patience I never thought I had. Once it was set up the sound was good. Then I put on some music from my phone. Normal volume, soft rock so nothing crazy and the speaker distorts on some songs, randomly. Nothing you would expect from this brand. Very disappointed and will be returning it.

Received the soundbar yesterday and I am really pleased with it. I have an 85inch tv and the sound is really not good especially the dialogue. After some research I purchased this mainly because of the way it says it puts dialogue forewords. Now I am elderly and It took all of 5 minutes to install it and took longer to d/l the app. The sound is really good and I now don’t have to have the tv on full volume to hear it. The dialogue is so much easier to hear. I did not buy the subwoofer or the other speakers but I don’t think I will. I am watching Wicked and am noticing sound effects that I have not heard before.

UPDATE: idk if it’s just me, but I have this connected to our projector and it keeps disconnecting and we have to manually connect it anytime and it’s actually getting annoying. This is a good sound bar I just purchased a projector and this went great with it. It was easy to connect and sounds good. It’s not as immersive as I thought it would be, but it was way better than the projectors speaker so I am satisfied.

The enclosed instruction manual is a monstrous 2 pages long -- mostly figures telling you to Plug it in and download the Bose App on your Smart Phone. First, I consider myself tech savvy, but was thwarted immediately following setting up both WiFi and Bluetooth. I downloaded the 'real' instruction manual and attempted to follow the Troubleshooting advice therein. In short, the setup process totally stalled during the App's attempt to download the soundbar's data update. On Day One I gave up after 2 hours and decided to try again the next day.On Day Two, I decided I should slow down and start all over, thinking I missed something on Day One. After another hour, I did what I should have done after wasting only 30 minutes on Day One...I CALLED BOSE.I won't try to explain the convoluted steps that I was instructed to perform, but they worked. It took the Bose Rep 15 minutes to get the soundbar MOSTLY working. The rep told me that the data download would take 30-40 minutes!!! No where do the instructions tell you this download would take that long, Anyway, that sounded crazy to me, but OK. I thanked him and hung up.After two hours the data download was still 'downloading.' Time to call Bose again. A different rep walked me through and EVEN MORE convoluted process required to download the update. Rep #2 was great. He remained on the line during the download, during which he walked me through some detailed nuances of the Bose App in which he fine tuned the device. By the end of our 30 minute conversation, I was totally setup. In the end, I love the quality sound coming from my Smart Soundbar.Good luck and, if at first you don't succeed (in setting up your Smart Soundbar), STOP and call Bose for help.

Easy to hook up, simple functionality remote control though it does request you use an app to tweak certain settings. I’m retired and found the process easy to navigate. For a mid priced sound bar it does exactly what it should, it gives clear sound and a little theatrical appeal. Much better than TV speakers on most common brands. If you’re looking to improve the audio of your TV and add a little bit of low end audio this is a really good choice. If you want to rattle the walls and feel completely immersed in sound, may want to consider the add on subwoofer but it’s a good value as is.

Product works great. Setup is fairly simple. Only issue I ran into was trying to get the Bose app to connect to the soundbar. Ended up discovering that I need to turn Nordvpn off when using the app to get it to connect, other then that, the sound is awesome.
