At around $1.00 per sanding sponge this set offers me the full range of rough sanding through very fine that my very average woodworking project is demanding. Manufactured with the utmost precision to undoubtedly higher standards than most, there no reason to look elsewhere!SOLD! :-)

Have a old park bench that needed some care. These blocks are sponge blocks with the grit number clearly stamped on the sides making choice selection a breeze. They are not hard blocks, but do what we needed them to. If you are looking to smooth out a surface of all existing paint these are not exactly the best for that purpose, but, they will smooth out enough to remove any rough spots.

I read that these can be washed and used again several times. I used the coarser blocks to scrub paint spots off of floor tiles. I found that when I used the blocks in conjunction with water they left lots of black granules on the floor. It was tricky and messy to wipe up the granules, and the blocks lost their abbrasiveness. For these reasons, I question their ability to be washed and reused.

I repaired 5 areas where my dog chewed up the baseboards. Used wood filler and these sanding sponges worked great to prep the area and smooth out after.I was looking at kits with a handle and a variety of grit papers, but I didn’t like the process of switching them out. I like that I can just grab a different grit sponge. Plus these were cheaper. Seems like they’ll last for several projects.
