Break Your Subwoofer In. Much like the engine of a new automobile, a new subwoofer must go through a short but important process of “break-in” before it is run under harsh conditions. The “break-in” process will ensure the subwoofer is able to perform as it has been designed to. This process involves subjecting the subwoofer to no more than low-to-medium volume levels for a number of hours in the enclosure. 3-4 hours is generally sufficient for the subwoofer’s suspension to loosen enough to prevent the voice coil(s) from overheating and causing failure. The break-in period is also effective in extending subwoofer life. Over-driving the woofer before it has been properly broken-in will usually result in premature failure and poor performance.

I ordered this to add some bass to my 2013 Mustang GT that has the base stereo. I already upgraded the factory speakers and added an amp, and that improved the sound quality. I installed this unit in the trunk since the amp is there so I have access to power, trigger wire, and the speaker inputs. It definitely sounds better with this unit. I may try to move it to under the passenger seat to get the full effect.

The thing never worked from the jump! It was wired up by a professional, and when it did function, I could hear music barely by putting my ear as close to the speaker as possible!!!! Wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this POS. I'm not a person who is big on the return process...... So, it's just taking up space under my seat...... Serving NO PURPOSE AT ALL!!!!!

Actually works great! Better than expected but weird thing is in the morning, I don't get the deep low base, it still plays well but not deep low. But in the afternoon and evenings it gets better with a deep and low base. Not sure what it is. No regrets though. I like it.

I purchased this for my boat.. I am Not into the big loud bass thing but love it Loud! just needed more fill in the low range and make my system better . I have 6 JBL marine speakers that sound excellent on their own, this sub provided that extra Kick I was looking for! mounted in the cabin of my boat is the perfect size, Way better than I expected and the remote is great when I need to save power or crank it up ! Excellent product/price !

True to Boss Audio, the wattage claims on this are grossly exaggerated. 800 watts RMS, 1200 peak. Oh my! It’s got a 25 amp fuse folks! On a 12 volt system that’s about 300 watts max!I think a lot of consumers still buy these knowing Boss is full of it on claims but the gear is good enough for the cost.I wanted just a little thump for my pickup truck system. Space in my vehicle behind and under seats is scarce. This thing will not blow your long hair around as you lose permanent hearing, it will shake your rear view mirror however.Overall, after a little over a year, I’m happy with this purchase. There may be better alternatives. I wouldn’t know because I haven’t listened to any of those. But this FITS in my space. It’s easy to install. Overall, it’s plenty good enough. My wife and dad find it “annoying.” My kids love it. That’s probably the best review I can offer.

Just wanted a little extra bass with the 4 speaker system in my 4 door Silverado. Fits nicely under the read middle seat and I don’t lose any in cab storage space. Sound quality is not professional, but for the price it would be hard to beat it.

So far I love it, I bought one it was a different brand a couple of weeks later it stopped working. I decided to go with Boss this timearound, not only the sound quality is better, it was much easier to install and I'm enjoying it to the fullest thus far.

I have kicker under my seat bass amazing super loud ,this one is completely junk I’m so disappointed I a Jeep so I have the alpine sounds system this should hit hard I have it on max to have alittle bass
