Ease of use and reload frequency are the main reasons i like these nails. These are not what you want for sheathing, but when used for siding ,ie cedar shingles, these are the ticket. The odd one left high rectifies easily without breaking when smacked home with a air hammer. Once air pressure is diale in for your material they work great. Mostly i use dewalt, but these Bostich nailers i am starting to prefer.

I started off using a box of these from the local hardware store to hang cedar shingles with a Bostitch N66C nailer and they are a good fit. The ring shank has very good holding strength, the galvanized coating will prevent rust staining, and the nail diameter is just right. I've gone through almost 20 bundles and have only split 1 or 2 shingles. The current Amazon price can't be beat, it's almost half what the hardware store is charging. So when I ran out of nails this deal was a no brainer. The only draw back to these nails is that you can't get then any shorter then 1.25". They stick through the inside of the wall about 1/4" so it tends to be a safety concern when you use them on an un-insulated structure like a shed or garage. 1 inch would be perfect in this scenario. Other then that, these nails hardly ever jam in the nailgun. Just make sure you set the pressure regulator to at least 80-90 psi, other wise you are asking for trouble. Good quality nails made in the USA, would highly recommend to anyone for speeding up a cedar shingle, or other wood siding job.

Sometimes these nails are a bit hard to get started if the coil gets bent. the galvanizing seems good and the price cannot be beat locally. If you plan ahead they are a moeny saver compared to local prices.

Ran these through my Bostitch N66C Siding nail gun and worked perfectly for cedar shingles. Note that these are ring nails though.
