I've installed these (250 and 500k variants) on five of my guitars. I've had one in an HSS Strat for over ten years and have never had a problem. I did have to replace one in another guitar; that one lasted about 10-12 years. The other guitars have only been recently done. They've got a good taper, and turn quick and smooth. I haven't noticed any popping noises when operating the switch. It pulls and pushes easily, though some knobs may offer better grip than others.

Used this pot as a replacement for the one that came in my Yamaha 112V. That guitar was only a month old when the stock pot failed. Putting the two side by side, the Bourns replacement is clearly far better quality. It works great!

If your guitar wiring diagram has a weird component drawing for a round potentiometerthat also has a rectangle with six lugs.. this most-likely is the doo-hickey.This manufacturer/part was recommended by the host of one of my favorite luthier podcasts, and I picked this version and the fender version to compare and I went with this one based on the push/pull click.I am that vacuous.

Removing one of my knobs I pulled the shaft clean out of the pot...the switch part is kinda cheesy... the pots work great jus take care when removing a knob from one...I bought these cuz they were half price of the Dimarzio push/pulls which I've used in the past...the dimarzios are just a sturdier built part without a dout... as far as function there is no difference really

The pot has great solid action when turning and when clicking up and down. Also the tone is very transparent, with gentle and smooth roll-off through the range. A Great pot, that made my boutique guitar sing.

I installed this in a Strat as a tone pot ( with a .22uF cap ) and a selector for neck pick-up phase. It did everything I expected soundwise. It was clean with no pops or scrapes. The action on the knob was smooth and required very little torque to turn. The leads are small for soldering but were fine with 22 gauge stranded wire.

Installed this in my strat as a "neck-on" switch for the neck pickup and it worked perfectly, very sturdy feeling, some people say the terminals are too small but with 22 gauge wire it was perfect. This will definetely be on my list whenever I'm modding a guitar and adding a push pull
