The Boyata stand was a really nice surprise. I'd just gotten a string of three high-dollar items that were defective from Amazon (none of them from Boyata, it should be noted), so my expectations were low. Surprisingly, the stands are beautifully made, sturdy, extremely adjustable, and well-thought out. I liked mine so much that I bought a second one 24 hours after the first one. Aside from them working really well, here are some specific things that are worth noting that might help you decide on it.1: The floor-print is much smaller than an ordinary laptop. The actual base of the stand, while not tiny, is a lot smaller than my 13 inch Macbook Pro--the space savings will increase as you go to 15 inch laptops and greater. Even though the laptop itself will be just as big as it was before you put it on a stand, valuable desk space is returned.2: You can use the base for things. You could put a phone charger in there, for instance, or do what I did and put my speakers in the base. I've tried it with my Bose Soundlink Mini 2, with HomePod Minis (both work really well), and if you lift the stand way up, you can even fit a full-sized HomePod in there. But you could also store a USB-C/Thunderbolt dock in the base, or you could even put your coffee in there if you happen to have the stand up enough. The point is, it's a plain, perfectly level space you can put stuff on.3: It's really sturdy. I'm a fairly paranoid person that worries if my expensive laptops or tablets will eventually fall off of something like this if it begins to sag, but you really have to force it to adjust. This will be annoying for smaller people to get set up, admittedly, but when you get it where you want it, you have total faith that it's going to stay there. You can even put your palms on it and type on it like you normally would and it won't budge. This is going to be especially valuable for those with big, heavy laptops. It'll hold them.4: The highly skeletonized, open-air construction means you can place these in front of speakers with minimal effect too.5: It folds quite flat and doesn't take up a ton of space. This would not be a bad thing to travel with to use at a hotel desk, for instance, for better ergonomics.5: The only thing I don't like about it is how huge and prominent the Boyata logo is. I get that they made a great product and want to show off their trademark, but I'd prefer it either be a lot smaller or near the back. It breaks up some of the beauty of the stand.Anyway, this one's a very easy 5 out of 5 stars.

As a designer/artist, I’m always looking for the-right-for-me tech to make things a heckuva lot easier but tech that also encourages better use habits :) I particularly wanted a stand that would work for both active iPad use - something comfortable enough to use for drawing for long periods - and something that would support a larger 17” laptop when necessary. This stand is perfect. It holds my laptop really well and allows room underneath to put a keyboard. It has good height adjustment. It’s incredibly sturdy - quite heavy in fact - but that’s exactly what I need for the tech I use. I’ve tried plastic stands and they don’t work well for me. The joints on this stand move smoothly but they do take effort/pressure to alter - I would say they are stiff. Some might be out off by that but it’s important to me: I don’t want the angle slowly changing because I’m leaning to hard on my iPad for 2 hours! There are multiple angles you can choose easily and it’s well made and looks great. If you are a designer or an artist looking for a stand you can keep at your desk and use daily for long periods, this is a great choice. You could take it places if you have to ... but it’s weighty... so probably not something I’ll be doing. It’s great for light/reg iPad use too: the cord tucks out of the way nicely so it’s great for kitchen use (recipe viewing etc.) - basically any desk/countertop use. Happy customer. It arrived very quickly, packaged well... no damage whatsoever. Highly recommend.

In spit of using my laptop constantly (or so I thought), I never needed a laptop lift until the nationwide lockdown due to the Coronavirus. Working remotely thrust me into working online for 12-16 hours a day. After a week of that my neck was in so much pain, I didn't know how I was going to go on. I could no longer look down at my laptop without extreme pain, so I began looking down at my laptop for a solution on Amazon. I wanted something sturdy and easy to use without moving parts that could break and be annoying to adjust (preferably one pice). I liked this one because it seemed to have all the things I was looking for, and I like the silver-tone color. To be honest, there was one that I liked slightly more, but the projected delivery date was a week more than this one, and my neck couldn't take any more. Plus, this had many good reviews, and it weighted a bit more than the other one. For something that's going to support my MacBook Air, I prefer it to be heavier, and sturdier, so I ordered this one. I LOVE IT!I'm trying to add pictures, but Amazon seems to have disabled that right now??? not sure, but i've added pictures to reviews in the past, but now I don't see that as an option. Some reviewers complained that it's hard to adjust. It's not hard to adjust. It doesn't glide with the touch of a finger, no, but it's holding my MacBook Air. I wouldn't want it to be slipping up and down easily. It moves up and down stiffly, and yes, it does require a conscious effort and significant pressure. It's easier to adjust it without the laptop placed on it. I think this is the way we want the stand to be. It should take some effort to adjust it, so that it stays put. But it's not hard to get it to move the way you want it to go AT ALL. And, There are no separate parts that can get lost or broken. I love that.My neck still hurts, because I'm on the computer just an unreasonable number of hours per day. But, my neck was to the point of no return before I got this, and without it, I couldn't have gone on, so this lift has really helped a lot.I recommend ordering a separate keyboard and mouse so your hands can work comfortably below. It's not comfortable to raise your arms up so high to type. I knew this would be the case when I ordered this stand, so I also ordered an extra keyboard and mouse that I could use with the stand, to not have to raise my arms up high to type.I saw one or more questions asking if it's uncomfortable to use the computer mousepad with the brackets projecting out from the stand. One reviewer said they're flush, so no, it isn't. They are absolutely NOT flush with my MacBook Air, however I don't think they would interfere with me using the mousepad, if I chose to use the laptop mousepad, which I sometimes do. Usually, however, I use the mouse and keyboard on the table level that I purchased. If you're using a laptop for many hours a day, you should really invest in this lift. It's worth the money to help your neck and back, and to avoid headaches and neck/back pain. I've been using this lift for a couple of weeks, and I am very pleased with my purchase. I don't think you can go wrong with this lift. One thing that could improve it a bit is to have the base be a little heavier. A couple of times it has started to tilt back a little. I have my keyboard on the base, which helps. A slightly heavier base would help more. No accidents so far with m MacBook Air toppling over, but still...

I use this mainly with my Wacom tablet and iPad for drawing on, but I use it as a laptop stand sometimes. I love that you can adjust the height any way you like. It is very sturdy, looks great and works well as a multipurpose stand. I'd highly recommend it!

There are three reasons I love this.1. The stand raises my laptop screen to eye level. This dramaticallly reduces my neck strain and eliminates the pain I used to feel when working for long times on the laptop.2. I teach, and in that role, I often meet with my students in teams using Zoom. The stand raises the camera, which iis at the top of the screen, to eye level. The students are no longer looking at my double chin, which is what they saw when the laptop was flat on the table.3. My laptop sometimes gets really hot, and the heat is blown to the bottom, causing the table to get hot. This cannot be good for the laptop. The stand allows the heat to exit the laptop, keeping it much cooler. This is a nice looking and well-made stand. I love it.

Nothing better I expected. Super sturdy and nice laptop stand. You may go for this with closed eyes.Just remember that you buy the original one as I have observed a lot of copycats available in the market these days.It took me weeks to shortlist on this one and though the delivery took a little longer than expected, but at the end - I am very happy using this..
