The best design I've seen so far, except possibly the one that you crank a handle to make i-cord with ("embellish-knit" machine kit). This Boye model has grooves in the pegs so you can easily fit the metal tool underneath the yarn to lift it over the peg. It also has pegs shaped like crochet hooks so that the newer yarn you don't yet want to leave the peg stays in place. Only downside of that is the yarn does kind of stick under the hook shapes so I have to pull the yarn back down on the peg every round. Still, good value, and I can use my bulky yarns on this one - for making rugs.

This is just what I was looking for. Large and small I cords and easy to use. Very relaxing too. I not only use for I cords, I make jumbo yarn from it.

This loom is a bit difficult to work with. The head of the pegs catch the yarn a lot. I have kept it and will use it from time to time, but would not by another loom with pegs like this.

Mine actually came with a peg laying in the bottom of the packaging. I kept it anyway didn’t want to deal with returning it. I love Boye products. Very easy to use for beginners or experience lookers.

This is a well-designed tool for spool knitting. The grooves on the pins allow you to latch onto the loop of yarn and pull it over each pin. The knob at the top of the pins prevents the remaining loop from accidentally being pulled over the top. The feel is good for an adult hand, and other reviewers say it works fine for kids too. It seems a little large to me for a child younger than 10 or so, but perhaps that's not so. In any case, it's light and easy to turn as you knit. I think it's the best of the various spool knitting devices I've seen.My photo shows the 2 headbands I made from worsted yarn. They are similar to I-cord, which I have crocheted before, but I think this method is easier and quicker. Some reviewers say that the resulting cord is loose, but I think that may be because the 2 ends were not pulled tight after each stitch or two. As long as one pulls on both ends after stitches, the result will be even and snug. I was working on the small end, and I tried the large end with worsted yarn but wasn't satisfied. I think that bulky yarn is really needed for the larger end.The directions were not very good (need more photos), but there are lots of directions online that make it easy to begin. There was a sharp edge at the base of the hook tool, but that was easily fixed with a nail file. All in all, a good tool that has many useful applications.

This is a sturdy and easy to use product that can be used to make either thick or thin “French knitting†cords. There are grooves to guide the tool, and notches near the top of each prong to stop the loops coming off accidentally. My 8 year old son has spent a lot of time using this and says he would rate it 6 out of 5 if he could! I also enjoy using it myself and find it quite relaxing and mindful.I also like that it comes in plain purple as many similar items have cartoon characters on them which make them appear to be aimed at children, whereas this activity is suitable for all

Strumento utilissimo per ottenere tubolari perfetti. E' molto comodo, fornito poi con lo strumento ad uncino con cui intrecciare il filo e l'ago in plastica con cui chiudere il lavoro è veramente completo. Consiglio!
