Ordered a size 1 for my 5 year old son, and I wish a 2 had been available when I ordered since these fit him *just* perfectly, which means he will not get to wear them for long (that's my fault and a potential risk I knew when I ordered them since he typically ranges from a 1 to a 2 depending on how the shoe is made and has wider feet). These are well made, and he loves them! I have never seen sandals that have velcro on the inside and the outside, but that makes it so incredibly easy and relatively quick for him to get them off and on by himself.

I ordered "big kid size 1" and what I received was definitely not size 1 (hard to say because it's in non US shoe size). It looked more like a little kids size 11 or 12. There also isn't a size chart on the listing. The quality is ok, but not a name brand quality. These would be ok for summer vacation. Not sure how they'd hold up over time, especially since we cannot use them due to being way off in size. Maybe the wrong size was sent?
