I had been looking for a solution for my lamp shade sitting lower on my lamp than I wanted. I didn’t even know they made these products. Did a Google search and this came up. Worked perfect.

This is a nice sturdy product.All you have to do is screw it onto your existing harp to raise the height of your lampshade.

Raised my lamp shades up to the perfect height. Just screw it in the harp, put lamp shade back on and perfecto!

Liked the brass finish quality. But, was dissatisfied with shallow finished internal thread depth. Incomplete taped threads do not allow threading to full depth on standard lamp harp/frame nipple or other riser from same supplier. Thread depth/finish clearly were not completely finished yet o full depth by using a bottoming tap after initial treading with a tapered tap. Rather than returning this riser, I will complete thread depth machining with a bottoming tap. Then, riser will be sprayed with clear, gloss/semi-gloss lacquer to prevent oxidation & tarnish.

Works great as an extender to make a lamp shade (with a spider attaching configuration). I used 2 and it worked perfectly. East to do. Just screw it in!

received as described and lifted my lamp shade to exact needed height. Will coat the brass riser with a clear lacquer finish to prevent against tarnish. Very please with this product!!
