I've done hundreds of brake jobs over the past 30 years and wish I had this fantastic tool.The plates fit a twin piston Ate caliper on an ML550 perfectly so it will work on larger calipers. Fwiw you need to snug the center nut for it to ratchet.

Item did not work for my 2023 Pathfinders rear brakes. It was not narrow enough to slide in. Hopefully it will work for the fronts. It looks pretty easy to use.

Would be 0 stars but the caliper hooks are nice and work well. The caliper tool on the other hand is a waste of $. I don't know if I got a dud or what but mine had issues out of the box with the ratcheting mechanism. It also gets stuck on itself the machining is so poor if you close it "too far" aka retract it all the way, great start but I thought it might still work right? Strike 2 was I used it on one job, they were 2 piston front calipers on a Ford E250. These didn't even push the calipers all the way back in the screw popped out and stripped out. No not that the calipers were bad or stuck it didn't even expand far enough to push the pistons all the way back. It must be made out of recycled beer cans and broken dreams it's so soft.Save your hard earned money, I took a chance on this and severely regret that decision now out the $20 and have to order another caliper compressor. I think I'll just grab one off the tool truck this time and save the hassle. I don't even want to waste the time to send this thing back I'm so done with it....
