I like the old fashion look for this warmer. I combined it with a shorter glass. You need a tea light to warm it. Something a little different for the cognac or brandy drinker.

For the price, this is a nice stand. The welds are a bit sloppy, and the metal isn't anything special. I wouldn't give it as a gift, but it is nice to use for ourselves when we want to feel "fancy" when drinking a new local brandy.

Back in the day you could order a "heated snifter" at the bar for your cognac and the bartender knew exactly what you wanted. Your beverage would arrive in a lightly warmed glass with the delicious aroma gently visiting your nose, and warming your taste buds. Ahhhh!!! Today - not a chance. This level of class and sophistication is lost on the modern man. However --- you can order this lovely device and bring back the heated snifter for your own vintage bar experience! It is nicely made, sturdy, and has a lovely finish. It comes in a very nice box that would be perfect for gift giving. But this one is mine. Buy it, because you don't know where you might find one again, and especially this nicely made.

This came bent completely out of shape. Upon examination, it was not damaged in shipping, it is plain horrible craftsmanship. The solder/weld points were not close to being centered on the cup or base so it was literally made wonky. The weld quality is terrible too with jagged edges as you can see in the photo. I tried to gently put it in some sort of usable shape, but it wasn’t possible.

This is the perfect cognac warmer. The glasses I have fit perfectly into this holder. It has a nice elegant look and is straightforward and easy to use. It it lightweight, but I don't see any reason why it won't last a long time.

Not being a brandy drinker, I used this to heat and keep warm glühwein in a brandy glass. It did the job perfectly. The tea light warms the liquid to a very enjoyable temperature and keeps in there. The glass (not provided) never gets too hot to hold. I'd say it becomes pleasantly warm. Though, I suppose, if you have particularly sensitive hands, you opinion of it may differ.The best part is that the whole thing looks really fancy on a table. The glass held at an angle with the candle flickering underneath. I can just imagine how it would look on someone's desk or in a study. It looked great at the table, surrounded by food.The stand appears to be well constructed. No complaints with the material.Recommended.
