• The lamp harp holder is made of metal with brass polished surface that can prevent lamp harp from getting rust.
Lamp Harps connect to lamp bases. The two bottom “legs” attach below the lamp’s socket in the “saddle”. They fit over a lamp's light bulb, simultaneously protecting the bulb and providing support for the lampshade.
Our Lamp Harp Sets accommodate standard light bulb sizes, allowing enough room between the harp and the bulb to prevent overheating.
In order for the bottom of your lampshade to sit below your lamp’s light socket, you’ll need the right size of harp. Select a harp that's at least 1 inches shorter than the height of your lampshade.
If you would like a more dramatic look, with your lampshade covering a portion of your lamp’s base, choose a harp that’s 2-3 inches shorter than the height of your lampshade.

I purchased this shade holder because my existing shade holder was not long enough for the shade we wanted to put on this lamp, it works very well, it took 2 minutes to change, highly recommended!

Worked perfectly as a replacement; fit into the existing saddle after I figured out how. Although it comes with new saddles as part of the package of two, I wanted to avoid the hassle of unwiring/rewiring the socket to replace the saddle and at first I was worried that I was stuck with that additional chore because the bottom prongs of the new harp ended in a fully -round- shape, whereas the existing receptacles are flattened. But I figured it out - instead of sliding the prongs in, all I had to do was to squeeze the prongs a little closer together so that the -round- tips were aligned -below- the saddle's receptacles, and release them only when the -flat- portions above were aligned with the saddle and voila a perfect fit!
