(Why would I rate Thickness and warmth? It's not a sweater, it's a nautical instrument.)Love it! Got it for my dad for Father's day, he was quite pleased. Presentation is very nice, in a pretty box that keeps it tightly put away and safe. It looks antique and its a pretty nifty gadget.The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I wish it had come with detailed instructions how to use it, not all sextants are the same (I think!) And it's not self-explanatory... like at all.

The sextant fell apart when I lifted it out of the box.Unfortunately there are no assembly instructions for this sextant.
