I like it for its craftsmanship and sturdiness. It is a vintage look. The compass is working fine on my hand. I do not recommend checking the compass on an automated height adjustable desk because you might think the compass is not accurate. It is because the electromagnetic field of the desk interferes with the compass. The sun clock is working fine. In case you are lost, you may track down the time. I recommend anyone to keep it in their possession for extra safety when you are traveling.

Looks great, brass body and size gives it a good weight. Instructions are easy to follow, leather case isn't great but a nice piece for the money.

I cannot say why I bough this item. I think I was just interested in seeing if it works, how it was made. It's cost was extremely reasonable for what I thought I was getting. I received the piece and it really brought a smile to my face. It's not something you need, unless my solar watch dies during the apocalypse. It's just so well made and interesting. I really think the people who make them take a great deal of interest in doing a nice job and in communicating how much they care about their product. The laser printed instructions on how to use a watch pocket sundial were very well done and much appreciated. This was a fun gift to myself.

This item is very well made plus it comes with a miniature brass hourglass attached to a keychain, which is also very well made and very attractive. The compass is a great value for the money on its own and the hourglass is the icing on the cake.This would make a great gift; however, I bought it for myself because I like the vintage look. It also came with a note from the small business that made it thanking me for my purchase.

I bought this for my grandson's 13th birthday. He is thrilled with it. I opened it and looked at it before I gifted. There are instructions that tell you how to use the sundial. That was what I was looking for and I am glad the instructions were included.I am not so thrilled with the "clip on" holder. That seems like it would easily fall off the belt or pants. I would have preferred a belt loop or something that didn't look like it would fall off and not be missed.

I purchased this compass and was so happy with how the actual compass looked that I had my son make a case out of leather. The case that it comes with is made with a kind of a cheap looking bonded leather that I did not particularly like. I had this compass engraved at my jewelers and my daughter was very happy with it. She really liked the fact that it had a sundial clock on it.

I like it! Sundial I think is too short to be accurate but the compass works in Canada, Europe and Costa Rica!
