This is nicely made, sturdy and polished wood. There are no wood splinters and there was no unpleasant lumber smell when opening. To clean it you just wipe it regularly with a dry cloth. It also required no assembly. You just pull it out of the box and roll it out. It is great base for my Japanese style futon that keeps it off the floor and lets it get good air flow.

This bed is nice, it sets up easily (just roll it out of the box) and it feels good to sleep on. Only issue I had was that when you roll it out, it takes a bit to finagle (spelling?) the bed. Some slats would have more space and others less. I didn’t care too much since it’s not seen and it didn’t affect the quality of the bed. It just would’ve been a matter of patiently having 2 people adjust the length of the pieces

I think it's made of pine. The surface is very smooth and nice, but there are some splinters between some of the slats. Not all of the slats lay perfectly flat, but this probably won't matter when a mattress is placed on top. There are two places where the slats are spaced a little wider (so it can be folded) shown in my photos. The slats themselves are about half an inch thick but have enough support that I was able to walk over them and didn't feel any bending or hear any cracking. The Queen size measured 77" L x 59" W. Overall, it is reasonably nice and I'm happy with it.

I thought I read reviews that this was hard to put together but it was SO easy. We opened the box and unrolled it on the floor. Using it for our toddler’s first twin platform bed. It’s great

The photo looks a lot better than what I received. The slats did not line up that well. I replaced it with something far better, nicer design, and less costly from Amazon.
