Good quality, will use as a display in a clinic. It’s mostly assembled and what isn’t is easily put together. Big fan of the color coding too.

I am a physician, and I'm aware that traditionally anatomical models like this have been quite expensive. This is a lot more affordable than that was available when I was in training decades ago! This model starts at L1 and goes down to the most proximal femoral shaft on both sides. There is minimal assembly required, it is easy to assemble. As shown in the pictures in addition to the bony anatomy you see the lumbar discs and the nerves coming out at each level. It's not quite anatomically correct as the "nerves" are not connected down the central canal of the spine. There is no attempt to model the conus or cauda equina here. However you have to look very closely to see that, and for the vast majority of people examining these models, they're unlikely to notice.Unfortunately my model comes with a R L4 nerve root that is bent at an awkward angle, and it sticks out like a sore thumb in comparison to the other side. I can't seem to bend it back into a straighter position. This is a big of a bummer as aside from that the model is very nice. This particular model is especially good for the bony anatomy, no ligaments are included however. Also, as shown in the product pictures, there is a herniated disk (marked in red) at R L3-4.Overall this model is pretty good, and it is an excellent value for the price. The only thing I do not like about it is how one of the nerves is bent into a non-realistic angle, and that I can't seem to bend it back in to a more acceptable position. I'd still give it 5 stars, but I suspect when showing this model to patients, observant ones may ask about the obvious asymmetry....!
