We have two rows of Concord grape 🍇 vines in our yard. We have juiced the grapes and froze the juice. We always said that someday we would make 🍷 wine. When I saw Brewsy I thought this is our opportunity. We ordered the starter kit. We were so excited for it to come, we were making wine that very day.10 days later we bottled our wine. It is delicious! I am sure the “traditional “ method may yield a better wine. The truth it, I doubt I would notice. If you have been “thinking about it”, think no more. Put thoughts into action. It’s Easy Peasy!

I've been using brewsy for years so make my own cider or white wine. It usually is about 15% alcohol and I make it in 1.5 gallon batches. It's super easy. I make it in a 3 gallon water jug and I have to add a little plastic wrap to the top and cut a small hole in it so the top piece fits. Then I just leave it a week or so and after a couple days in the fridge, it's done! I do rack it a few times to make sure there's no gunk left in the bottom, but that's pretty much it. I also like to save at least a third of each batch for a year to see how it ages and it definitely improves with time.

I like the idea of this but was having some issues using the site and app. There are many questions asked waiting for replies, some of which would’ve helped us. I had to Google what I was looking for to find it on the web page because navigating to find things is not straightforward. It reminded me of a platform that has been built upon at different times and things get lost. You attempt to go to a page and it isn’t there. When you ask a question and you do get an answer you’re not sure who is answering to know to trust it. An “expert”, “employee” or “moderator” badge designation attached would be nice for confidence. The overflow freaked me out a bit and a troubleshooting guide would be another good thing to go to as getting answers is not timely. The finished flavor is interesting and cloudy. For our first go we’ll call it a win, not at all sure if we did anything right though with directions geared towards someone with perhaps previous knowledge. Directions were not well written and at times had you adding things that were not suggested in the list of ingredients or did not tell you an actual temperature. Used cranberry juice to make what I’m not sure is cider or carbonated wine.

This is my second kit from them and the kit is unbelievably easy. The stoppers fit the standard wide mouth juice bottles and fermentation was mostly done in about 1 week but I let them go for 1.5 to 2 weeks. I use the freeze thaw method to cold crash. The end result had a little yeasty flavor, but it was better tasting than my previous attempts without a kit. I believe I could get the off flavors down to 0 if I was willing to invest in a racking cane and rack it several times. But I prefer the quick and easy method and they are tasty enough that I drink them pretty quickly when they are done fermenting.

I’ve been using Brewsy to make wine for over a year now. The product has always been very easy to use and produces great results. Decided to try their hard cider pack/recipe. After downloading the app (super user friendly) - I picked the “Apple pie” cider recipe that a user had submitted. The steps are very easy to follow (I do recommend reading through all the steps clearly prior to starting - so everything is clean and ready to go into the next steps). So excited to share my hard cider with family at our Halloween party!I will definitely be ordering to make cider again - and recommend to anyone from beginner to seasoned pro.

Did not work at all. I am a brewer and have made my own ciders many times. I thought this kit would make it easier. Neither packet of yest worked. Upon inspection of the 2nd packet it had arrived with and expitation date of 2/25 (but a sticker had been placed over it so I suspect the yeast was actually already expired. I ordered this in Dec. and used it in January. I am very dissappointed I followed the directions exactly and neither cider brewed there was no fermatation and I suspect it was due to old exired yeast. A waste of money. Just buy champagne yeast dont want your money on this kit.

Brewsy is easy and delicious. Lots of support from the company and the Facebook group. There are endless variations to try! We have made both wine and cider and have enjoyed them both and have shared with friends. Takes a little experimentation with time and temp, but there are hundreds of Brewsy Makers out there who will answer all your questions. This has been a wonderful winter project for us and we will continue to purchase kits.
