Great value for the piece. Fits 2 snowboard comfortably. Can maybe fit 3 snowboards if they are touching side by side and no larger than 110cm. Works great with aero-style cross bars. Easy to install.

First and only attempt at transporting skiis with this rack. Bolted on to my factory 2005 Subaru Outback crossbars. Relatively easy install and held 4 pairs of cross country skiis solidly in place. No issues on a 200+ mile drive barreling down highway at 80 +mph...Have a lot of experience with bicycle roof racks like Thule, Rocky mounts etc... and this is not that level of quality, but for occasional use and if taken off and not exposed to elements other than when in use, this rack is a nice unit at good price that should provide good level of usage.

We purchased this product a year ago. Sadly, this product failed after a few uses. As others commented on the review, the LOCKING MECHANISM FAILED big time. The rack popped open on the highway and our ski and snowboard flew off. We had to retrieve equipment on a busy highway while people ran over our ski/snowboard pieces. Luckily no one was hurt, but just the thought of our equipment could've damaged cars following us scares me. After contacting the company, they are willing to replace our rack, but I just can't trust this rack without having to use other supportive straps to make sure the rack doesn't pop open. They will not compensate for your ski/snowboard damage, so make sure you secure your equipment with more than just their locks!!!!

A little cheap I think, but gets the job done. I don’t love how the locking mechanism works, you need to keep the key in the lock when it’s unlocked but I suppose it’s a good safe guard so you don’t forget to lock it when closed. One of the locks isn’t working properly and takes some tinkering sometimes though... I only have a handful of ski outings a year, but if I did more often I’d probably go with something for more money and quality. Overall though, good value for the price for sure.

I like how easy it is to mount and remove from the vehicle. I've heard complaints of them weathering. But I just take it off after every use. At most itll fit 2 pairs of skis and a snowboard.

These look great and fit perfectly on my Audi. They have been on over 20 snowboarding trips and hold firm, even at 80+ mph. Good quality for the price

Well, I have the brightlines cross bars on my jeep, and needed a new ski rack to replace my rhino rack that is too long to fit. After looking at the reviews, I took a chance. The rack itself is good. Not great, not "eh".. It locks, has a nice big button to open easily if you had gloves on, and it's decent as far as it's manufacturing. As said on here in other reviews, all of the mounting is hand tightening. So yes, someone could.. Could... Put in some effort and remove the entire rack without tools and take your gear. With the jeep, that would be challenging, since I need a step stool to install. It would not be a "fast" steal, but they could. Then again, with my rhino rack, with a power screwdriver, they could do the same thing. This is for transport, I wouldn't keep skis on it overnight. And it is inconvenient enough that no one is going to just take a chance. It's the old saying "if someone wants your stuff, they're going to get it regardless".That said, there's room for a locking nut on each bolt, so that will deter a bit more, and I'll probably do that. The good side? These are the least expensive racks I've seen. They are definitely not the best.. But even the rhino rack is close to double the price. What they are, are a cost effective way to bring your skis to the mountains.Haven't tried them on the road yet, but I've installed them and pushed and pulled on them pretty hard, and they didn't move a millimeter.. Even with the hand tightening of the attachments. So, I'm going to keep them. I'm more concerned with day trips and won't be leaving the skis in the rack unattended anyway. If you need a ski rack, and don't want to invest, you won't go wrong buying these. Easy to install, and again, can always add a couple of locking nuts if you're worried about the hand thiefs.

This thing is AMAZING for people who are constantly piling all their friends & gear into a car for some road trips. Hallelujah no more wet boards/skis! Easy to open/close & lock, easy to uninstall for summer
