My grandson loved this brio train set that I gave him. He enjoys it as an 18 month old, but I can see him still using it over the next few years. Brio makes excellent quality train sets and they are great value for the money. This set fits well with other brio train sets which I love. It functions and looks great and can go as fast as he wants depending on the set up! I love brio trains!

This has been a fantastic gift for our three year old dinosaur and train track fanatic. The fact that the dinosaur fits into the train track and can be pulled around with the battery operated train has been a blast. He’s also loved that the eggs magnetize to both dinos.The only downside is that the long neck dino might be too tall to fit under most train track bridges. But that’s easy to adjust for.

My kids loved this set! The train is on the smaller side, so it doesn’t haul as many cars as some of the bigger engines, but it’s more than powerful enough to transport the dinosaur. They absolutely love loading the dinosaur into the rail car and taking him on a tour around the park.If you have Duplo track converters, you can even build custom bridges that are taller, making it even more fun for the dinosaur to travel safely across the park. I used to work for a major railroad, and years ago they had a circus train that transported animals. My kids always thought that was so cool, and now they have their own Dino transport train—which is, let’s be honest, way cooler than my circus train! This has quickly become one of their favorite boosters in their collection. Highly recommend for any train and dinosaur fans!

BRIO World Dinosaur Battery Train: $36.62 at the time of reviewMy wife and I don't have any kids of our own, but we do have a bunch of niblings. We like to consider ourselves the "cool" and an uncle so we like to make sure that we have a wide variety of toys for them to play with at our house when they visit. A perennial hit is the brio train system. I had Brio trains when I was a kid so I figured that the little ones in our lives would love them too. We're constantly trying to find different sets to add to our collection. So when I saw this one that featured dinosaurs (something that most of our little ones love), it was a must-get.*What I liked*:This is an interesting set. One of the appeals to me of the Brio train system is the wood construction. The dinosaurs are wooden, which is great. But the engine is plastic, kind of out of necessity. Because it's battery powered and has a little motor in it to move, I figured it wouldn't be wood. Frankly the kids don't care, and it looks great, so no complaints.The rest of the set looks great. The dinosaurs are beautifully painted (like all Brio things), And it's a perfect fit to our other Brio items.*What I didn't like*:I hesitate to list this is a complaint, because Brio sets tend to cost a lot anyways. But the only super minor nitpick that I have here is the cost. You only get five pieces in this set and it's nearly $40. That being said, we've come to expect that cost with Brio stuff, so it's a really minor downside to us.*The Bottom Line:*Overall these brio dinosaur train pieces check the most important box: the kids love them! They carry the same quality that Brio is known for. They work flawlessly with our other Brio pieces. And being able to have the train drive itself thanks to the battery powered engine is great! The only extremely minor nitpick we have isn't enough to knock it down a star. So my final score here will be five stars out of five. I don't think that my nibbling would be happy if I rated them anything else. We would totally order this over again knowing what we know now.
