This is a very well made pair of swim trunks for the big and tall. The polyester fabric is very thin and smooth with silky feeling; the mesh type of under shorts feel silky as well. All the seams and stitching are well done; elastic waist has a little give with a pull drawstring. My hubby wears XL in underwear and swim trunks so I thought I'd try these; he has a 38 inch waist, but he's average height. Unfortunately, these XL were WAY too big for him in all aspects. Too bad, since they are made well and are a gorgeous color..

Normally I wear an XL but when I rreceived this it said it was a 42XL I'm not sure if it was the way the size runs or if I'm not understanding what the size is. But, it's made well, has a drawstring, finished seams and no loose threads. It seems to be quality material, feels nice to the touch and has front pockets so you can use them for daily wear.

If you're big but not tall, these bathing trunks will disappoint. In order to get the crotch in the correct spot, you must tie the trunks off around your belly button. Most guys wear their bathing trunks around or just slightly above the hips. Ding so has the crotch of the material hanging about six inches below you and the mesh liner is nowhere near to enmeshing you. Further, the trunks hang about four inches below your knees. I think these trunks would only work if you are both big and tall.

Comfortable, loose fitting but the drawstring provides waist size adjustment. They do run large. Got my son’s regular size and they are big on him. But they are really nice shorts.

I normally wear a size XL shorts--these fit a lot more like a 2XL (tag says 42). The string-tie can snug things up a bit, but these might end up being more of a casual swim trunk for me vs. an active pair.That said, nice quality all around. The mesh liner is comfortable--definitely an upgrade over what has been the standard. They dry quickly, have a good length. I probably would size down in the future if ordering again.
