I don't buy into the whole "back seat mirrors are a distraction" issue. Choose when to look (straight-away with no intersections, at stop lights, etc) and do it quickly. Our son had some issues with coughing/choking and would eventually not make a sound if in the wrong position. The lack of sound is not enough to know everything was fine. We received some of the cheaper, store-bought, back seat mirrors for our baby shower and used them for all of one car ride. They generally stayed in place fine but the "mirror" surface was anything but. It was barely better than a fun house mirror. This Britax mirror was much nicer and actually gave a very clear picture of our son. It never moved and amazingly, did not permanently dent the leather on the headrest after a full year. The straps are adjustable enough to fit some huge headrests. I'm generally not a big user of "premium" baby products, especially ones made by Britax but this is definitely an exception. It's nice and big, gives a good view of baby and matched our Ford Explorer "Medium Light Stone" interior very well. Well worth the premium over lesser mirrors.

As parents who choose to rear face our children in the car until at least the age of 2 we have used several backseat mirrors including the and . Particularly once the baby/toddler is in a rear-facing convertible seat with a tall shell, I like being able to glance back and make sure that the child is OK.My vehicle does not have a center head rest, so when we only had one child and her seat was in the center, I would install the Brica mirrors but they flopped and slid without having a head rest for support. I could not install the mirror on one of the outboard head rests and angle it so that the child in the center positioned seat was visible, and the mounting method for a seating position without a head rest is crummy. Even when the car seat is in a seating position with a head rest, it's a battle to get the Brica mirror set up properly. You install it, then run to the driver's seat to check if you can actually see the baby or if you need to change the angle, which requires removing the mirror, trying to adjust the angle properly, and re-installing it! It is a frustrating, iterative process. We have been generally happy with our Britax Boulevard 70 car seats for our older daughter and when I saw the Britax mirror I decided to give it a try. Talk about simple! You simply buckle the mirror onto the vehicle head rest using vertical and horizontal straps, then pivot the mirror so that it is properly positioned for viewing from the front seat. There's no need to remove it, adjust it, and re-install it in order to hopefully get a good view. The mirror itself is clear and undistorted. It has installed very easily and quickly in both my 2010 Chevrolet Equinox and my husband's 2001 Toyota Camry. Right now our 3 year old is forward facing but I use it to see our new daughter who rides in a Chicco Keyfit 30. I've appropriated the Britax back seat mirror that we already bought and we're ordering another one for his car. The price point is comparable to the Brica mirrors but it is much easier to install and use - it's a no brainer!Note: we are well aware that CPSTs are supposed to tell you that these mirrors are a bad idea because they can become projectiles in the event of an accident, and that they can distract the driver. We have made a parental decision to use them anyways. Frankly, in the event of a major collision I have much bigger concerns than the possibility that a backseat mirror will come loose! Also, I have never found the mirror distracting since I peek back only when at a stop sign or light.

This little mirror is one of the few items that falls into "my favorite/most used baby items" list. As a first time mom I have bought an unbelievable amount of stuff. Mostly stuff that we hardly use or wasn't as useful as I originally thought it would be. That is not the case with this mirror. Let me tell you what I love most about it:- securely fastens to the headrest on my CR-V - no worries that it will fall off onto baby- mirror does not have that distorted look to it that some baby mirrors do- seems to be made of quality materials, it looks really hard to break- baby loves watching us/herself in the mirror. More on that below.- It is incredibly easy to see baby from the front seat (except at night of course). As much as I love this mirror, it seems like the baby loves it even more. She frequently looks at mom and dad in the front seat through the mirror. She also loves to make faces, play peek-a-boo, or just stare into the mirror. I hardly ever have to put toys in the car seat with her because she is so easily entertained by the mirror (she is 11 months old right now). When we went on vacation we did not bring the mirror and there were more crying fits in the car than she has probably had in her entire life. I really believe it was because she didn't have the mirror for entertainment and she couldn't watch mom and dad. If I sat in the back with her, she was fine. For under $15 it is worth trying out this mirror, I am sure you will love it!

I started out by buying a cheap Brica mirror that was awful. It was hard to install and ended up falling off the headrest so many times that I finally gave up on it. But I have a really cute baby and I missed seeing him. So after a little research, I bought this extremely awesome mirror which is easy to install, attaches very securely to the headrest, and pivots so that you can get it to just the right angle. It's also very good sized, so you get the full view of your little person. I wish I'd gotten this one to begin with, and I like it so much I'm buying a second one for our other car. Great, high quality product that is well worth a few extra dollars!

I’ve tried 3 different mirrors and so far this is the best one, easy to install, doesn’t slip and slide all over the place, is easy to angle to the perfect spot and I love how wide and clear it is so I can really see what’s going on with my baby. I recommend it for sure

Bit of a struggle to fit a shallow ( top to bottom) head rest in F Pace. Contact post limited lets see how quickly it loosens

Would recommend! It doesn’t move or fall down when driving, stays in position. It is clear and a good size mirror. My head ready is leather so it is making some marks but once it is taken off it will go back to normal. Worth it to see my baby while driving though
