The Broan Technical Support confirmed this was the right fan motor for my range hood model. Easy to put on, 2 screws and disconnect the plug, then of course, connect the electrical plug and position fan and screw in. Took one person to hold fan in place, so you could put the screws in. Could probably do without the extra person, but is much easier and quicker.The 1st one I received had an odd humming noise, like when a motor is going out. Checked with Broan technical support and they confirmed. The second one just had the normal sound, which is rather quite. It also came packaged well, so no issues on that either. Works good.I was satisfied with this company and so glad that I could replace the motor - DIY. Renters never cleaned the filter, so fan wouldn't turn from grease build up. Ordered new filter as well.I would recommend this company.

I placed the order on Wednesday & received it on Saturday. Sure cant complain about that! It came with good instructions about how to modify it to work on different models. Fortunately it came in the right configuration for my use. Had the right electrical plug on it, rotation was correct and the mounting holes lined up. Plugged it in, put in the 2 mounting screws, turned it on and voila, a working fan once again. I am happy & more importantly the wife is happy. All in all couldnt have gone easier. If only every project went this smoothly but.........

Easy to install. Direct fit replacement. That first I thought the fan was reversed because when I turned it on it felt like it was only blowing air out. It turned out that my range foot valve was sticky and so it did not open and it felt like it was blowing air out. Once the valve opens the air went the right direction and up through the roof.

This was a great find! I was disappointed when the fan on my stove suddenly stopped working. I figured it would cost us a couple of hundred dollars to find a new range hood that would fit, as I have weird size everything in my home. My husband said we could just get a new fan/blower and looked it up. Once we got this, it took my husband all of 3 minutes to change this out on our range hood and saved us the expense of buying a brand new hood!

All my research to find the correct fit indicated this was the item needed to replace my original motor. However, i did have to make some modifications to make it work in the correct exhaust air flow direction. I had to flip the magnet to get the fan to turn in the right exhaust direction, just as other buyers had to do. The fan blade was lopsided, tried to straighten it as much as I could. The bracket was not the correct size. It was shorter than the original so I had to replace it with my original bracket and it worked out ok. The connector was also different than the original, but i managed to get it to fit. The motor works great at both speeds. The sound level is a little quieter than the original one. Despite it not being a simple install and work fit, I would still recommend the motor. This is why I give it a four star rating. Will update in several months to let you know how the motor is functioning.

This fan is quieter than the original by far!!!! The fan blade was unfortunately installed on backwards but I pried it off, flipped it over and pressed it back on. Be careful prying it off though the plastic is fragile and bends really easy. I used a small piece of wood and slid it under the fan blade then used a small screw driver to pry it up then to press it back on I set a 7/8" deep well impact socket to on the center of the fan blade (1/2" drive side facing down) and light tapped on it with a mallet (hammer). I pressed it on there a little further than the original due to the blade being really close to the filter and I wanted the blade recessed to pull more air in without pushing air around below the hood. I recommend this product so far. We have only had it for a couple days but the quietness is wonderful. The last fan sounded like a jet engine and this is a Prius! Metaphorically speaking of course 🤓

This fan has a bracket that is larger than the original.I changed out the bracket and installed the fan. Fan is now hitting the the vent sides because the blades are larger than the original.gently reshaped the fans blades with a dremel. I go to insert the filter and now the fan hangs lower than the original and the filter stops it from spinning. Now I mount the bracket onside the vent on top vs the bottom so the fan is above the circular hole.Turned on the fan to test and sparks flew out the motor. Turned it off in disgust and walked away, all the fabricated for nothing. To my surprise I turned it on 10 minutes later it worked!! I won!! Then it died after running for ten min. Now I see that I'm better off buying a whole new rand hood combo vs trying to get a replacement

Had an older broan hood fan go out and I couldn't find replacement parts any where, I found this looked very similar to mine and thought I would give it a shot, plugged it in and worked like a charm. Saved me time and money because I didn't need to replace the hood :) (happy dance)
