Don’t think twice, you NEED this: in every home and office! A MUST-buy for crafters, organizers, teachers, and businesses. This model has TONS of great features, includes a power cord, runs on batteries (6 AAs, not included) for portability. Keys and buttons are easy for small or large fingers, the user interface is very intuitive; it’s easy to change font size and style, borders, etc. It’s super-lightweight—even with the batteries—so I can take it to the basement or garage to label shelves and storage containers. It makes MANY sizes of high-quality labels, has tons of fonts, a memory backup that saves tons of common labels I print regularly (like “property of…â€, return address, etc.). This model would be even MORE useful for a big, little, or home business, all of which have special needs like shipping instructions, price tags, or just signs with clever borders—choose from the many defaults OR print your custom/unique design and logo straight from your computer with a standard USB cable. It has a built-in cutter. I could go on and on! I totally trust Brother products. I own an ancient Brother label maker similar to this, and it runs GREAT after ~20 years. (It’s going to my sister to label her file folders, home-made makeup creations, and sewing/craft drawers and cabinets). I like this label printer. I got it mostly because it supports the Polish language, which I am learning. It is very easy to set up and use regardless of your language of choice. It supports 23 languages. The only thing I didn't like about it is the amount of label tape wasted... I need to fix that! The LCD is not back lighted, but that isn't an issue. The screen is easy enough to see. Easy to connect to a computer and use the P Touch editor to create labels.

So easy to use, I didint read the instructions and I was still able to figure it out. The design is very nice, super easy to hold where labeling on the go, great quality, I have dropped it multiple times and it still holds up. I love all the features as well like the barcode maker, emojis, and so much more, it works great, no Jams or other issues and a great price!

I purchased the D-410. I have an ancient ptouch (20 years old ish) that does exactly what I want it to do and goes to 3/4 inch tape. I wanted one to keep in the garage. None of the new ones are like my old one.Pros:Does what my old one did (though maybe not as efficiently)Top load tape. I passed on the cheaper model because I prefer top load. I change my colors often.Mostly easy to get going.Nice size buttons.Shows you what color/size label tape is in the machine through a view window.Cons: Chain print. You have to tell it to print the next chain print. I used to be able to say "chain print 9" then go grab a glass of water. Nope. You have to sit there and press enter for every chain print. Maybe they think it will catch fire while you are away. I dunno. PITA.Weird print function. Press print, it asks how many I want. I used to program that in under another function (chain print, for one)When the batteries die, it gets confused. Worse than when your printer chokes half way through a print. Lost about 4 inches of tape.Heavy. While the box actually weighed more than the machine, this weighs easily twice as much as my old one.Uses more batteries. Old one took 4 this one takes 6.I haven't tried connecting the USB yet. I don't want to be lugging around a computer for my labels. I just want to print my labels and label my boxes and tool drawers and shelves and spaces where I want things put back in. I want to have one in the two places I label most things. And I wanted it to print up to 3/4 of an inch. This does that.Minus one star because the old one did the same using less batteries and more efficiently.
