I've wanted/needed a label maker for as long as I can remember - but, somehow, never took the time to research them. I recently moved and decided it was time to get organized in my new house - plus, I found I seem to forget where I put things; if the tote is labeled at least I won't have to open each one to look at its contents. Plus, should I change the items in the tote, I just have to peal the label off, without having to scratch the previous writing. This little gadget has been a game changer! I'm glad I bought this brand - it's the brand I've heard about for as long as I can remember, so I figured they know what they are doing! I admit, the instructions are daunting - so I bought a case for this unit so I could keep the instructions with it at all times. Some of the instructions for the more advanced tools are a bit difficult to follow - but the basics are simple and everything works great. I like the little device that helps split the backing from the label. It's not perfect, but it does make it a bit easier. The quality of the text is great and so far, the label seems to affix to everything I've put it on - and, so far, I have been able to remove them without any glue residue left behind.

Price was Ok, not great, the printer is a little slow, shipping was good, seems to be well made. I purchased extra tape, most likely should have purchased a better model, this is a little time consuming, but works well.

Works as advertised with a maximum tape width of 12mm (wish it could do 24mm). The issue I had with it and the reason I had to return it is that it does not work with rechargeable batteries (i.e. NiMH). It does turn on and work for a limited time, but it will prompt "Low Battery" and turn off after a min or so, so you might or might not get your label(s) printed out. It takes 4 AAA batteries which is wasteful and there is no way to plug it into a wall. I purchased a PTH110 which does allow you to plug into a wall (9V) and oddly enough, that model does work with rechargeable batteries (although you need 6 AAAs).

Everything works great, however the labels aren't sticky but there's a fair amount of different settings and different features. DOESN'T COME WITH BATTERIES needs 4 AAA!

Works good, but the only issue I am having, is that "so far", it keeps telling me that any batteries I am putting in it need to be replaced. So, hoping that if I get a new set I wont be having the same issues. (the others are all new, but have been sitting for a while) So, we will see.

This was bought to replace the previous model which had reached the end of its life. Excellent piece of kit!

This is just the perfect tool for the office or home.It is simple to use if you are just typing and printing basic labels. It does have a ton of extra functions like adding borders, designs, symbols, bold, italic, vertical font etc. I would suggest keeping the manual for reference for these features.Putting the tape in was a little tricky, under the back cover, but once it was fed in correctly, it ran smoothly. As for all the reviews mentioning weak battery life, here is my take. This uses a motor. It will naturally demand lots of electricity/battery power. Invest in good quality, high drain rechargeable batteries and you would have no reason to complain. I use NiMH batteries with this and they serve me just fine.I would recommend this to anyone who needs a label maker.
