This card embossing kit is best used with Brother ScanNcut or ScanNcut2 machines and offers multiple possibilities for creating unique embossing projects. It’s a great scrapbooking starter kit and includes template sheets and an activation code to download 50 embossing patterns via Brother ScanNCutCanvas.
The Brother ScanNCut embossing kit allows you to start white embossing projects for starters or for experts. The kit includes (1) embossing mat measuring 12” x 9.5” (305mm x 241mm); 1 embossing tool holder; 2 embossing tools (1.5mm & 3mm); 1 silver metal sheet 7.9"" x 6.1"" (200mm x 155mm); 1 brass metal sheet 7.9"" x 6.1"" (200mm x 155mm); 1 template sheet 12"" X12"" (305mm x 305mm); 1 scanning support sheet; activation code for access to 50 embossing patterns on ScanNCutCanvas and instruction guide.
It is recommended for best results, to only use the materials provided with the Brother CAEBSKIT1 kit. It’s also best to install the latest version of the firmware. I have the embossing kit and have finally used it. First off I want to say the price here is great as I paid over 75.00 usd. I had order this last September 2016 from Amazon. However the vendor did not have anymore and I had to cancel my order. The price was the same as I paid. I had to order from my local dealer and I did not get it till November of 2016. I had to wait several months for it to finally come in.I do like and I am now glad that Brother scan n cut is coming up to date with other die cutting machine manufactures.I did a test out on card stock and only made one pass but it did a very good job. I think with several passes over the paper and I used the 1.5mm tool that it would make a deeper impression. I like both sides of the test embossing. I can see this done on leather I think it would emboss beautifully.If you want the embossing tool and decide to buy here on Amazon. You are getting it for a reduced price which I think it is awesome. I know these accessories can get expensive for the Brother Scan n Cut die cutting machines. I wish I had really waited as I would have saved some money.For those of you that have the embossing kit I hope you enjoy it I know I will. I am looking forward to the foil kit and the other new accessories that could be coming in the future.I love my Brother scan n cut although it is not a wireless one. I have had a lot of fun and find my little simple creations to be an accomplishment and enjoyment.Fawn

I couldn’t download the installing directions so I haven’t used it yet. Scan n cut is a wonderful machine. I would recommend it to every fabric or paper crafter

I bought this as a gift for my room mate. She was so happy to receive it but hasn't used it yet because the kit only came with 2 sheets of the embossing plastic and she can't decide on what pattern to cut out to emboss. The kit comes with several patterns that are downloaded into the machine when you activate the card in the kit and you can use these for other things besides embossing. She has used them with the universal pen holder to draw and has cut out some of the patterns too. She's cheap and is waiting till she can find a good deal on the plastic sheets used to cut out the embossing plastic, lol.
