This is my first tagine pot. I'd wanted one for awhile and decided to get this one. It is preseasoned and easy to clean. It isn't as heavy as regular cast iron but still heavy enough! I couldn't tell you how many things I've cooked in it now. My son said what I've made is as good as restaurant quality (high praise from him since he used to work as a chef). Making naan in the lid is easy too - you just have to cook it without the bottom part.Update 2 years later: This is still working great! Love this pot! I've been able to reduce the pots in my kitchen as I can also make sukiyaki or shabu-shabu in it as well. And I haven't had to season it yet. Just get a cast iron brush and do a gentle scrubbing when it's still warm, give it a good rinse and a good dry and it's good as new.

I use this everyday for most of my cooking. I seasoned before first use. It is easy to clean. I use it (carefully) on a ceramic cook top. It cooks things fairly quickly on a low heat. It would be perfect for wood burner cooking. It is a beautiful color. It is a bit heavy as expected. Satisfied

I like that when seasoning the pan and the cover, all that is neeeded is cooking oil (I use lard. It’s the best). And low heat in the oven. I use it for casseroles, braising and some chili and soup recipes. All of the flavor are true. The tangible does cook fast even on stove top on very low heat. Really keep your eye on it. Prepare your favorite dishes.

I have had a clay tagine for years but it was starting to crack. I had to use that one on an outdoor cooktop but the new one can be used on my induction stovetop. I made a chicken dish and it did not stick and the clean up was very easy. The only reason I do not give it a full 5 stars is because it spits out quite a bit of moisture. I kept turning it down but the design of the lid must have something to do with the way it fits. Overall I am very happy with my purchase — both the way it cooks and the look!

This is large enough to cook a meal for 4 persons. Heavy weight cast iron. Easy yo clean. Distributes heat evenly. I'm pleased with my purchase.

I have bought many ceramic tagines, including some very expensive ones, that have not lasted but the cast iron Bruntmor tagine cooks as well as the ceramic ones and there is no fear of it cracking. It's easy to clean and the color (red) and finish is attractive enough to have on display when not in use.

Love this piece. It does everything it is supposed to and then some. Because it is cast iron, you can saute your meats and veggies in the same pan you will use to cook in. Holds an even heat. Versatile cooking piece and the color is fantastic.

This item is so cheaply made, I didn't even get to fully unpack it. I stopped after taking out the lid. The photos speak for themselves! Chipped, fresh out from the box!I also believe there's a possibility that I got someone's return because the box was clearly opened prior to me opening it. The sides of the box had stickers scratched off. Come on, now!
