Gave the shears a workout on a few trees and bushes. I was able to cut branches over 1" thick, although it did take two or three swipes, which is understandable. The design is great, as well as the features. They are super powerful and can be dangerous if you're careless with them. They would cut off a finger as easily as a branch, so I wouldn't let kids anywhere near them. The Dewalt batteries I have, which are clones, work perfectly. Funny, the batteries have a built-in flashlight, but they are facing rearward since the battery slides in from the front. All in all a nice tool that I'd buy again and recommend to friends or family.

Had to try it, if I didn't like it I could return in 30days...Over 700 cuts n battery still at 69%, trimmed apple trees in an hour. So it will power off if sits a bit, just power back up, then it loses its count on cuts, not that I care but just so you know it's great, hooks perfectly onto my M18 Milwaukee battery

I’m impressed with this tool. Wanted to get the brand name dewalt because I have many of their batteries but honestly this one works just fine. It cuts through thick wood branches without issues. If you can fit the branch inside the jaws it will cut it. For the price I’m satisfied with an off brand product

Well made, powerful, easy to use and comfortable. Tried this out almost as soon as I got it. Snapped a DeWalt battery in it and outside I went. Its straight design makes it easy to access inside branches. Largest diameter branch I cut was about 1/2" which severed it easily with no hesitation. I'm an old guy who likes to do my own gardening and developed tendonitis in my wrist. But now this will be a huge help by eliminating the cranking motion of my hands when using standard clippers. This will be my go-to tool.

This little clipper is amazing! Long battery life! Sharp blade! Easy to fit in a woman or man’s hand. Lightweight yet strong enough to cut branches 4 inches thick. I’m so pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it. Plus it comes with a second blade & oil. Can’t beat it.

We have lots of ornamental trees, fruit trees, bushes, some grapevines and similar stuff. I really hated pruning until this gadget came along. Immediately after receiving it, I pruned an overgrown rose hedge, some rose bushes and some random greenery. It must have been around thirty minutes of cutting and the counter showed 2000 cuts! The 3.0 A Makita battery was still showing full charge. I have since used it for pruning grape pergolas, fruit trees, redwood trees oak trees and other miscellaneous growth. I am actually grabbing this tool and walking around trying to find what to cut. I am limiting myself in pruning branches up to 3/4". I have pruned a few 1", but depending on the wood it might be a push.

Have used pruner for a few cleanups now and over 200 cuts. It works well and the max 5ah battery still shows 3 green lights. It is small and compact so I can get into tight places. It is light and easy to use and works well wearing gloves. If it holds up as well after a season it is a great buy.

Works great with all my Dewalt batteries.It is smaller and lighter than the full size Dewalt pruner. which I also have.But it still has plenty of cutting power.'This would be my choice for trimming small bushes, I would switch to the Dewalt version for heavy branches.My sister in-law has already tried to steal it from me. :)
