Since 1970, Brussel Martin has been growing and selling bonsai trees, with the desire to introduce more Americans to the art of Bonsai. Based in Byhalia, MS, Brussel's Bonsai has grown to be the largest bonsai nursery in the USA, specializing in growing, nurturing, and shipping bonsai trees.
What is Bonsai?
Literally, the Japanese word 'bonsai' means 'tray tree' or 'plant grown in a pot.' The term refers to the artistic techniques used to capture the natural beauty of trees, rather than a specific variety of tree. A full-grown tree and a bonsai can be grown from the same seed - the bonsai has simply been dwarfed and shaped through years of training. The value of a particular bonsai typically depends on size, age, and training. Generally, more expensive trees are larger, older, and have had more detailed, elaborate training. These qualities combined create the illusion of a large tree in a natural setting.

My husband was gifted a bonsai tree from this company for Christmas. We purchased the rock bed to go underneath and catch excess water when watering. It does a great job of catching the excess water but it also adds a nice aesthetic touch!

Good for the price, which was inexpensive. Rocks are real but the tray is plastic. Good as long as you realize this.

The pebbles are nice, but I had to use something to take up space in the tray, as there weren't enough pebbles to do the job.

this is a plain black PLASTIC dish holding white pepples. the pebbles are NOT decorative! this dish is plain plastic...something you could get from a take out order of food.NOT HAPPY AT ALL
