I was gifted a bonsai a few years back and I cherished it. Enjoyed it and cared for it for about 3 years, then one day I messed up with the soil and damaged the roots without meaning to. Made me so sad when it died. I was hesitant to get a new one. I’m so glad I did!Carefully packaged, arrived earlier than expected. I love my beautiful tiny tree.

Words cannot explain our unbelief when we finally got this tree unpackaged. It is 21 inches tall from the base and 21 inches wide.and very dense with branches and leaves. It has a very attractive shape and appears very healthy. It was not missing a leaf and nothing was broken. It was extremely well packaged to protect it. You thought "Snickers" was packed with peanuts. Have a garbage bag ready to hold all the peanuts and be very careful unpackaging it. My son was extremely happy with his birthday gift and we love the look of the tree in front of our picture window. it arrived earlier than promised. The expected delivery date was the 15th and it arrived on the 12th. For information I'll tell you what else you will need. You will need a humidity drip tray to fit the planter. The top of the planter is 13 by 10 inches wide but the base is 10 by 7 inches wide. You will also need slow release organic fertilizer pellets. The plant needs to be watered every two or three days and sprayed from the top every so often to remove dust from the leaves and trunk. A sprinkling watering can or spray container should do. In short I highly recommend this tree and it was cheaper on amazon than from Brussels Bonsai. They have some of the most amazing bonsai trees you will see on their site. Enjoy this tree! Also don't forget to watch Brussel's Bonsai's video on watering and care of Bonsai trees. There is a lot to learn about caring for Bonsais. It is not the same as caring for ordinary house plants. Also the care of each variety is different. Do yourself and your Bonsai a favor and purchase a book that has care for different types of Bonsais. The one we got here on Amazon is, The Bonsai Survival Manual. Although it doesn't have the care of this specific variety it lists clubs and other ways to obtain care info. Also a call to Brussel's was worth it, they told us to water every other day and fertilize every two weeks, but you have to water as indicated in the video. Good Luck!

I’d hoped for a nice looking plant, but received much more than expected! To say I’m satisfied does not even begin to describe my elation over my Hawaiian Umbrella Bonsai from Brussel’s Bonsai. The first pic is her with the rest of the family and the second is her by herself—not completely unwrapped yet. Now, I know she’s expected to lose 20% of her leaves, but that’s a given. I’ll post another pic back in a couple weeks, but overall, I’m more than satisfied. Perfectly packed. I just can’t say enough good about this company and the fact that they REALLY DELIVER what they say! I still need one more….a bit smaller, but will definitely buy from Brussel’s Bonsai when I’m ready for a Baby Bonsai!

I attempted to replace my granddaughter Bonzi tree (middle) which I had given to her as a gift. I had overwatered it and it died of root rot. It was also a spruce which do not do well indoors. I purchased the one on the left, which was much larger, but within the 8-10†range when measured from the dirt up. I was so pleased with it health, if not it’s size, that I order the one on the right, which was 4-5â€above the 8-10†that I ordered. Though health, it was higher and did not meet the description of the tree it claimed to be. The foliage began at the bottom, not the top, and the other two trees, if that was the intent, appeared to branch out from the same tree. We’re it intended to be three separate trees, they would be standing side by side and again, the foliage would be at the top of the tree, not the bottom. I email the company for a refund or exchange. They advertise a full refund for any reason within the first 30 days, but they refused to refund or replace it, stating only that it was just healthier and I should be pleased. I was not and called Amazon, explained the issue and they refunded me for both trees immediately. Since then, the tree on the left lost all of it leaves because the top had been sniped off, likely because it too exceeded the ten inches, and likely died of shock, assuming it is a tree at all. Now they are selling the ‘super health’ model (right) for 2-3 times the price of the one I purchased. Had these trees been planted and been growing for as long as they claimed, it might have been taller, with bends in the tree (left) but it would not be a tall “pre bonzi†tree, which means you get to wire it up yourself and over time, it will form the twists and turns, forcing it to slow it’s grow considerably. This did not happen for the one on the right, and I suspect the left might have been a naturally occurring bend. I gave them the benefit of doubt until I saw the snipped tree. Now 2 prior customers described similar events but I bet on the law of averages and assumed it was an anomaly. It was not. There should be a class action suit brought against them. We’re I not 70, I just might have devoted myself to that, but there more important things in life and I lack the time to deal with it, though I hope Amazon acts on it as it was a “Amazon Recommendation†which has seldom failed me. I assume it is because it is also what I appeared to want. But not always, so there’s that. I look to consistency of bad reviews and the stars given to the best bang for the buck, or it’s equivalent. I have been with Amazon almost from it’s beginning in order, initially to deal with not delivered USPS packages, and stayed because the pricing is usually as good if not better, as I compare prices regularly and I have stayed because of the service, and reliability of delivery, though I am guessing that Amazon has run amuck of political issues itself. (Sigh). What isn’t these days. We have bigger fish to fry.

Just arrived and settling in. It is exactly as described and was delivered by UPS on time. It was packaged very well so absolutely no damage from transit. Looking forward to learning the art. I think the plant size, the pottery were a great value.
